Dynatrace Platform Provides observability and intelligent analytics to make it easier to troubleshoot and overcome the challenges of managing IT application complexity
O Court of Justice of Pará (TJPA) chose the Dynatrace, a leader in Software Intelligence, to maximize the performance and experience of its digital services for servers and citizens. With Dynatrace's automatic and intelligent observability, TJPA now has a new opportunity to manage in real time and with accurate insights all applications and resources in the technology environment, contributing to the optimization of analyses, consultations and deliveries carried out in the company's systems. institution.
Leader of the 2021 Transparency Ranking of the National Council of Justice (CNJ), the TJ of Pará is considered, today, as one of the most modern in Brazil. Altogether, there are more than 6,000 workstations and 500 servers, in addition to several communication, collaboration and e-mail applications, running in local environments and in Multicloud, working to handle, on average, 300,000 sentences every year. “Any time off the air means delays for magistrates, lawyers, prosecutors and, of course, for the public”, recalls the secretary.
“Over the last few years, we have carried out an extensive modernization and expansion of the Court's IT infrastructure, but the inclusion of new applications and equipment only reinforced a major challenge that digitalization brought us, which was the ability to monitor and improve the performance of our resources. and, especially, to guarantee the maximum availability of our main system, the PJe”, says Diego Leitão, IT Secretary at TJPA. “To deal with this whole set of applications and devices, the implementation of Dynatrace was fundamental. We evaluated some alternatives, but the truth is that the Dynatrace platform offered us much more intelligence and observability”, says Leitão.
For this very reason, Leitão points out that the project was very silent, without any kind of impact on the users' routine. “We had full support and were quickly able to put the process into practice. And the result could not be better: we managed to reduce instabilities and interruptions, substantially increasing the satisfaction of professionals and citizens who use our services.”
Through its engine based on Artificial Intelligence continuously updated, the Dynatrace platform enables real-time and end-to-end monitoring of all applications used by the Court's technology area, offering accurate insights into the performance of all resources - and its impacts on the experience of internal and external customers. “Before this step, we didn't have the visibility to identify the roots of instabilities or failures. Everything had to be done manually. The situation has changed a lot with Dynatrace, as the tool delivers automatic and accurate reports, which helps us to optimize the environment”, says Arilson Galdino da Silva, Technical Support Coordinator at TJPA.
It is worth mentioning that, with the help of Dynatrace, the TJPA managed to reduce, since the beginning of 2022, by more than 60% the number of service instability or interruption events, with a reduction of 70% in the number of application errors and 45% in the time needed to resolve any inconsistencies – which led to an increase of 12%, on average, in the level of user satisfaction, in analyzes carried out daily.
With Dynatrace, TJ's team can rely on automatic end-to-end observability, which tracks software components, hardware, Cloud, microservices, code, user access and everything that is part of or interacts with the system. Therefore, finding any inconsistencies and being able to correct them quickly helps keep systems reliable and efficient.
“Observability is the ability to measure the internal states of a system, and Dynatrace can track changes, alterations and inconsistencies to indicate conditions and problems in environments. In this way, we make it possible for any organization to master the complexity and find points of improvement in its IT infrastructure or in the use of the cloud for applications and data storage”, says Fernando Mellone, Public Sector Director at Dynatrace in Brazil.
Dynatrace finds the root cause of anomalies and performs their diagnosis, also with Davis, the Artificial Intelligence engine that is at the core of the platform and that delivers accurate responses and intelligent automation. “A broad and deep view of the environment eliminates problems that affect users and helps to create more productive workflows, with automatic correction and that eliminate the need for human technical support to eliminate inconsistencies and solve problems”, emphasizes Mellone.
The platform monitors the results and also offers the ability to analyze the main indicators of the services that are part of the ecosystem in a predictive way, anticipating points that can be improved to really optimize the performance of the applications delivered to users. “Dynatrace was a game changer, as it makes it possible to identify whether a certain instability is occurring at the moment and in which part of the infrastructure it is occurring. It was important, as we took this opportunity to other courts, and we are certainly moving towards having much more agile and reliable services for people. With the solution, we have visibility and I can quickly resolve any intercurrence. Society wins! It is the magistrate who managed to deliberate a release permit, or a precautionary measure against an urgent medical procedure and can provide the service to the jurisdiction that is waiting”, adds Leitão.
