The labor crisis has directly affected the youngest and most recent graduates. According to data from the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE), 31% of young people between 18 and 24 years old are out of work. Altogether, the country has 13.5 million unemployed (12.61 TP1T of the population, according to data released at the end of November.
In order to train and help this population to gain space in the labor market, the Trend Micro, a company specialized in cybersecurity, announces the opening of registration for the third edition of the professional qualification course called General Markets.
Even with such alarming unemployment data, the information technology sector does not stop opening vacancies. According to Miguel Macedo, Director of Channels and Marketing at Trend Micro in Latin America, the great difference with this program is that despite Trend Micro being a company specialized in cybersecurity technology, General Markets is not focused on graduates in this discipline.
“The candidate does not need to have experience in IT, as he will work in the customer relationship area. We know that the technology area is the one that employs the most and we want to encourage young people who have not chosen a course in this segment to enter this market that is full of opportunities. Candidates who pass the program will learn about all stages of customer relations, such as sales, finance, post-sales, marketing, among others”, highlights Miguel Macedo.
Therefore, the program is open to professionals with training in any area. All you have to do is be studying for higher education, or having recently graduated, and being 27 years old at most.
The General Market Program offers, for three months, a structured on-site training and all the necessary support for participants to be successful in activities involving the commercial area. “With this training completed, young people at the beginning of their career will have countless possibilities to place themselves in the market, since, regardless of their area of expertise, all companies need professionals who are able to work with sales and customer relations”, completes Miguel.
The beginning of the program will be on February 14, 2022 and the 30 successful candidates will have the opportunity to be part of the SDR team (Sales Development Representative) from Trend Micro, with effective contracting. It is also worth noting that during the course period they will be paid and receive certifications.
This is the third edition of General Markets offered by Trend Micro in Brazil. In all, 30 young people have already participated in the program. Of them, nine were hired by the company.
According to Marcos Rizo, program leader, the main objective is to provide qualified business labor for the cybersecurity technology market. “The success of the program is so great that 95% won work opportunities at the end of the course”, he concludes.
Those interested in participating in the General Markets Program must answer a form and send a cover letter, until January 23, 2022, explaining why they should be chosen (up to 550 words).
