1.Always learn – According to Mayara, the technology sector is always changing. “In six months you can be out of date. It is necessary to seek continuous learning to do well in the area”, he highlights. 

2.Have an active and engaged profile on platforms like LinkedIn, GitHub, Stack Overflow among others – Through these channels it is possible to monitor whether the candidate publishes projects, courses and interacts with colleagues in the area helping and being helped. “This way, recruiters and managers can already know a little more about the background and technical level, which gives greater visibility to the candidate's profile”, evaluates Mayara. 

3.Research and understand about the company – Deepen your knowledge about the company's culture, the solutions offered and the technologies that are used.  

4.Don't just stop at the answers, ask! – Take the opportunity to ask questions about the company and the role. Just as important as being considered the best candidate for the job, is that you believe and demonstrate that the job is most important to you.  

5.Develop your self-knowledge – Know what you want and what you don't want. Mayara emphasizes that it is important for the candidate to create a line of reasoning and explore the most striking moments of his career, bringing results from previous experiences, showing his preparation and skills in the area of technology. “Organize the information in a clear and objective way to talk about your life and career story”, he suggests. 

6.Remember: technical knowledge is not everything – It is important to map whether you have the complementary or behavioral skills for the position. “Skills in communication, teamwork, analysis and problem solving, resilience and autonomy will likely be explored in the interview, so being prepared is essential.” completes the Human Resources professional.  

7.Creative Problem Solving - Learn to use Engineering Thinking, Optimization Thinking, Analytical Thinking and Design Thinking techniques to propose technological solutions that really make a difference! 

8. Invest in learning a little about the business context – It is important to know how Technology is being used and where it adds the most value. 

9. Collaboration and teamwork – Together we are stronger. We cultivate the concept of best practices in open source software development, collaborating on projects within Brazil and with other regions where Experian operates. Being willing to contribute and understanding the value of the contribution of others are fundamental. 

10. Certifications - Depending on the position you are interested in, having Certifications that certify knowledge of the technology or methodology can make a difference.
