Seeking to offer an even more complete portfolio to customers, complementing its offer with advanced data security technologies, Seal Networks – Seal Sistemas' business unit dedicated to software-based network solutions – announces a partnership with North American SonicWall, specialized in cybersecurity solutions, adding direct sales and support.

Both the Brazilian company and the multinational based in San Jose, California (USA), see the strategic partnership as an opportunity to boost support for national and Latin American companies that are forced to expand access to networks beyond their control capacity . The objective is to support customers on all fronts of digital security, whether in terms of hardware or applications.

Through Seal Networks, SonicWall is reaching out to companies based in the region to strengthen the offering of a portfolio that revolves around five layers of network security. They are: implementation of firewalls (focusing on servers), access security (restriction by user level), email security, cloud security and endpoint security – the latter focused on devices used by employees, such as computers and corporate smartphones.

Data security in focus

“In Brazil, the concern about data security is growing, it comes from the civil milestone of the internet and was even stronger with the entry into force of the LGPD (General Data Protection Law). This goes for both the consumer segment and the corporate market. There are more and more devices connected to data today – even the appliances we have at home – and many of them do not have layers of security”, says Ruy Castro, Commercial Director of Seal Sistemas and Head of the Seal Networks business unit.

The executive adds that there is still a large gap in this topic among Brazilian companies. “By partnering with SonicWall, we want to help different organizations look at this issue in a more professional way. Today, CIOs have security among their top three concerns,” he says.

For Daniel Kanaoka, channel manager at SonicWall Brasil, the alliance with Seal Networks offers user companies the best of both worlds. "From SonicWall's side, advanced security solutions come into play, many of them tailored for the world without borders and without perimeter consolidated by the pandemic." In Kanaoka's view, SonicWall intelligence is inserted in the Seal Networks universe, a company with a strong presence in Brazil and Latin America and recognized expertise in cybersecurity.

The expansion of its portfolio with SonicWall solutions allows Seal Networks to expand its capacity to integrate solutions and services for corporate networks, which includes project diagnosis, implementation and after-sales support. Seal Sistemas' NOC (Network Operations Center) allows us to offer real-time support around these technologies – including for global customers, since the structure also allows evaluating the performance of projects in operations located in several countries.
