Qlik Answers enhancements unify analytics and documents with explainable reasoning powered by an analytics engine, and MCP enables the use of third-party AI assistants for trusted intelligence at scale.
THE QlikQlik®, a global leader in data integration, data quality, analytics, and artificial intelligence (AI), announces a private preview of its new agency experience on Qlik Cloud.® provided through Qlik Answers® as a unified conversational interface, bringing together structured data analytics, unstructured documents, and the reasoning power of large language models (large language models – LLMs) in a unique and governed experience.
With specialized agents that communicate and execute tasks, complete transparency and reliability with references, plus fast and explainable analytical calculations powered by Qlik's analytics engine, decision-makers can obtain the most complete and relevant answers to guide the best actions and results. The experience is designed to handle complex, multi-step issues, combining AI reasoning with engine-supported analytics and using trusted data products.
In this private preview, organizations can:
– To arrive at the correct answer more quickly. The agents interact with each other and use the right Qlik features, helping users to quickly obtain complete and relevant answers.
– Combining numbers and narratives in one place. When a request involves data and documents, Qlik Answers can combine analytical insights generated by the Qlik engine with the context of the documents and its own knowledge to generate rich narrative and visual responses.
– Trusting what you see. Citations of documented answers, explanations of reasoning and logic for analytical insights, and governed calculations offer the highest levels of confidence and security.
– Work from anywhere. An always-on side panel in Qlik Cloud, recognizing the user's location and what they are doing, offers help and assistance to maintain workflow.
Qlik has also outlined plans for the overall availability of its server. Model Context Protocol (MCP) for early 2026. The MCP is another entry point into the agentic experience, allowing customers and partners to access Qlik capabilities from third-party AI assistants. The MCP opens up Qlik at the engine, tool, and agent levels so that assistants can generate insights from the Qlik analytics engine and access trusted data products with human governance and oversight in a Qlik-hosted tenant.

This reflects Qlik's broader agentic approach across its portfolio, from AI-assisted pipeline design and quality and lineage checks, to RAG pipelines that connect ingestion to decision and action. These innovations help companies implement trusted intelligence at scale. MCP is scheduled for general availability in early 2026, and Qlik is gathering customer interest now.

Qlik's new agentic capabilities are available in a private preview for customers within the Qlik Cloud capacity-based model via voluntary opt-in. General availability is planned for early 2026, with a phased regional rollout aligned with the readiness of the underlying services. There are no planned pricing changes for this release.
