With this expansion, the project, which initially covered only the company's headquarters in the city of São Paulo and the office in Piracicaba (SP), expands the scope of the tool to units located in other municipalities in the interior of São Paulo and in Mato Grosso do Sul
More than six months after the update of the contract for the implementation of the Wi-Fi system controlled by Artificial Intelligence composed of the Juniper Mist AI™ solution at Raízen's headquarters in São Paulo and at the company's office in Piracicaba (SP), NEC, responsible for project integration, already accounts for an increase of more than 100% in the client's equipment park.
With this expansion, during this time, more than 750 company users who work in Bioenergy Parks in cities in the interior of São Paulo and in Mato Grosso do Sul now have access to an innovative wireless network, even at construction sites. Additionally to this, the solution contributes a lot to the simplification of the functions of the helpdesk performed by the IT team.

Utilizing practical and actionable data from individual users, Mist AI also gives feedback personalized and proactive support, as well as insights correlated and AI-driven data on overall network health and performance. With a proactive approach to network troubleshooting and support, the platform enables IT to scale and gain insights from automated real-time data based on traffic driven by devices and websites being accessed.
According to José Renato de Mello Gonçalves, president of NEC in Brazil, NEC was able to expand the number of equipment and the scope of the project thanks to the company's investment in artificial intelligence, which continues to be its main focus in the market, facilitating the way for more customers can acquire the service quickly and efficiently. “The most important thing is that this contract reinforces our portfolio versatility, which increasingly offers value-added network solutions. We achieved this due to the range of partnerships we established locally”, says Gonçalves.
The Mist AI solution features the enterprise network's first virtual network assistant, which provides a conversational AI interface known as Marvis. This unique feature allows Raízen's IT team to interact with an automated and intelligent tool that understands the user's intent and offers greater value and quality of results. Marvis can contextualize requests to speed up troubleshooting workflows, answer product or feature specific questions, provide information about the network, and even help find any type of network device.
According to José Eduardo Massad, IT&Digital director at Raízen, the high acceptance rate of the organization's professionals regarding the platform in the company is due to the fact that it is reliable and simple to operate, facilitating the detection of possible events, which, when identified, can be analyzed and corrected even before they actually become a problem. “Today, Mist AI is the solution that comes closest to our user's real experience, helping with the vision of consistent and available network connectivity in the main business applications, including voice and video over Teams, SAP, Office 365 and access to other internal systems. The expansion in our Bioenergy Parks also allowed us to improve the productivity of the IT team, with the expansion of the use of monitoring and quality applications in the industry”.
