Agreement aims to consolidate IDEMIA's presence in the national market, expand its business and popularize the use of biometrics in various applications

THE Ingram Micro Brazil signed a distribution agreement with IDEMIA, one of the leading companies in Augmented Identity and specializing in physical and digital identity management solutions through offerings that integrate features such as contactless biometrics and facial recognition. The commercial partnership complements Ingram Micro's Physical Security and IoT unit portfolio, allocated in Advanced Computing, and includes the complete lines of access control solutions and biometric terminals, with emphasis on contactless high-performance biometric identification devices.

The new partnership comes at a time when identity security is increasingly crucial in all industries. According to Abese (Brazilian Association of Electronic Security Systems Companies), the electronic security sector grew by 13% in Brazil in 2020 and should increase even more this year thanks to the gradual return of classes and face-to-face work, even if in a hybrid system.

Among the solutions that Ingram Micro will distribute are Morphowave, used to control access for users on the move without contact, and VisionPass, a new 3D facial recognition device that works from multiple angles and in any light condition. . These and other IDEMIA products are in line with the strictest privacy regulations, such as GDPR and LGPD, and are certified and qualified by international standards, such as the Common Criteria, ISO 15408 and EAL3+ Level.
