Ingram Micro Brazil, a subsidiary of the worldwide distributor that helps companies realize the promise of technology, was chosen by Microsoft as the first official distributor of the HoloLens 2 line of mixed reality devices and accessories in Brazil. “Our expectations are as high as possible. This partnership is as innovative as the product itself”, says Ricardo Rodriguesdirector of the Commercial, Consumer and Mobility areas at Ingram Micro Brasil. “Resellers specializing in business solutions have a lot to gain from this product, as they will have a real opportunity to add value to the end customer with equipment that meets, at the same time, their productivity and scalability needs.”

As for Flávio Moraes Jr., VP & Brazil Chief Executive of Ingram Micro, highlights the commercial potential that mixed reality technology can provide and reinforces the support provided by Ingram Micro Brazil to partners for the implementation of applications hosted on MS Azure and Dynamics 365. “We have a talented group of architects and engineers prepared to assist our partners in the deployment and delivery of this technology, including access to the entire Microsoft portfolio, making the experience even better. We are talking about innovative solutions that will transform our daily lives.”

The choice of Ingram Micro Brasil as the official HoloLens 2 distributor in the country was due to the company's qualification to operate in this field. “In addition to being a long-time partner of Microsoft, Ingram Micro fulfilled all of Microsoft's requirements to represent the launch and distribution of HoloLens 2 in Brazil”, explains Marcondes Farias, Product Director of Dynamics 365 and Power Platform at Microsoft Brazil . “It is a company that is fully qualified to work with Microsoft hardware solutions.”

Alongside Ingram Micro, Microsoft believes that the partnership will allow a quick gain in scale in the delivery of this solution throughout the national territory, given the company's expertise, presence, capillarity and number of current resellers in Brazil. “We're sure we'll be able to meet the high demand from customers for the HoloLens 2 device,” says Farias.

The distribution of the device, which is aimed at corporate use for industries and integrates the virtual and real worlds simultaneously, will be in charge of the Commercial, Consumer and Mobility unit of Ingram Micro Brasil, led by Ricardo Rodrigues. “The responsibility is great when we incorporate new products or solutions to our portfolio, and the HoloLens 2 meets the company's goal of 'fulfilling the promise of technology, adding value to customers, understanding their real needs, translating them into solutions,” he says.

According to the executive, the main challenge for Ingram Micro Brasil in this partnership will be to enable its reseller ecosystem to be able to deliver complete mixed reality resources, with emphasis on Dynamics 365 Remote Assist and Remote 365 Guides. “The focus for this product will be on solution partners to serve our business verticals,” adds Rodrigues.
