Project will bring 14,000 new pieces of equipment to stores by 2023
The DPSP Group, responsible for the Drogarias Pacheco and Drogaria São Paulo chains, invests in an unprecedented project through the renovation of 100% of the IT infrastructure of the nearly 1,400 stores of both chains throughout the country by 2023. In all, 14,000 will be installed new computers from Dell's OptiPlex line, in 3000 series models. The project started in February and the expectation is to standardize a new IT environment in at least 1,000 stores by 2022. By next year, another 400 stores will be covered.
The project was born from a partnership with Dell Technologies, a supplier that brings together comprehensive and innovative offers of corporate information technology solutions, and is part of a movement of investment in technology and IT digitization, through the installation of dedicated equipment. The objective is to optimize and expand the technology channels of physical stores, offering a better shopping experience to customers.
Each store will receive an average of 10 OptiPlex desktops. Old equipment will be evaluated and may be reused internally for other uses or destined for recycling.
Altogether, the DPSP Group has 80 professionals directly involved in the process, from technicians to the logistics team.
“The heart of our business is to serve well. In our stores we use humanized service combined with new technologies to offer the best experience for our customers. This investment in renewing our IT infrastructure is a reflection of that. It aims to improve and expand new technologies, accelerating the digitalization of processes and ensuring a better shopping experience for consumers”, says Marcelo Rezende, Executive Manager of IT Operations and Governance at the DPSP Group.
“We are proud of the project developed together with the DPSP Group to, using technology, improve the journey of customers who pass through the more than 1400 points of sale that will receive Dell equipment”, comments Diego Puerta, president of Dell Technologies in Brazil. “By offering the appropriate technology to the project's needs, we are also supporting our client to fulfill his mission of providing quality care, health care and well-being to all”, he concludes.
