The company is implementing a "virtual developers" model that transforms the technical team's routine, accelerates deliveries, and elevates the strategic role of professionals.

THE Digitro Technology [The company] is implementing a new development model based on Artificial Intelligence agents that act as a virtual team integrated with the human team. According to internal tests, tasks related to technical specification, development, documentation, and homologation have had their times reduced by up to 70%, associated with the automated generation of inputs for the operation of other areas of the company, in a more robust and standardized way, directly linked to the coordinated use of AI agents.

The model reorganizes how software is built within the company. Instead of using AI tools only as occasional support, the technology becomes directly integrated into the workflow, operating through specialized agents that collaborate with each other and with professionals in the technical area.

“We are making humans much more productive and strategic. What used to take days between specification and development is now resolved in a day with the support of the agents. It's not about replacing people, but about maximizing deliverables and freeing up the team for higher-impact activities.”, "This is what Agenor Pacheco Junior, Technology Director at Dígitro, affirms.".

Currently, the company operates with several AI agents, each responsible for a stage of the development chain, such as front-end, back-end, QA, security, design, and documentation. The interaction between them also requires active supervision. Agenor explains that, because they follow strict rules, they can conflict with each other, such as when a security agent blocks a solution proposed by the performance agent.

If this happens, the human developer acts as a mediator, setting priorities, adjusting paths, and ensuring that decisions align with the product scope. “The use of AI agents in development is a one-way street. The human role consists of creating an agent architecture with specific functions, clearly defining the role of each and constantly evolving them. The human has a crucial role in keeping this orchestra playing at the right tempo,” he explains.

Technology partnership

Part of this evolution involved specialized collaboration in applied artificial intelligence. Vibbra, a strategic technology consultancy based in Florianópolis, worked with the Dígitro team to structure the agent architecture and adapt the development process to incorporate artificial intelligence in an integrated way with the teams' work.

“Dígitro already had a solid technological base and very experienced teams. Our work was to contribute to structuring the agent model within the development process, helping to accelerate this transition. The result is an environment where artificial intelligence and professionals work together to increase speed, quality, and innovation capacity,” says Leandro Oliveira, CEO of Vibbra.

According to the company, the initiative also impacts the profile of the teams. Instead of focusing on writing code, the professionals involved dedicate themselves more to systems architecture. “When agents participate in the process, the developer stops working on coding and starts contributing more to defining solutions. This raises the level of technical decisions and expands the company's capacity for innovation,” concludes Agenor.

By integrating artificial intelligence and skilled human expertise, Dígitro strengthens its ability to develop more robust solutions, reduce development cycles, and respond more quickly to customer demands in increasingly competitive markets.
