On Thursday, November 28, 2024, ABES held the annual election process for your Deliberative Council. Under the coordination of the Election Committee, composed of Paulo Milliet Roque, Executive President of ABES, Dr. Manoel Antonio dos Santos, Legal Director, and Anselmo Paulo Gentile, Executive Director, the vote took place in accordance with the guidelines defined in the Notice of Convocation.
In strict compliance with the current statute, the election was conducted “remotely via the internet”, ensuring the participation of members from all over the country. At the end of the voting, 129 ballots had been counted, resulting in a total of 832 valid votes. The vote count was conducted immediately after the end of the process, in a transparent manner and in accordance with the regulations.
The elected candidates will be sworn in at a meeting of the Deliberative Council, which must take place by the last business day of the first quarter of 2025, as stipulated by paragraph 1 of article 37 of the ABES Bylaws. This moment will mark the renewal of the Deliberative Council, an essential step in defining the new Executive Board, which will lead the association in the 2025-2028 triennium.
This year’s election reaffirms ABES’ commitment to democratic governance, aligned with the interests of its members and the technology sector. The renewal of its membership will ensure that the association continues to promote advances and innovative solutions in the software market, meeting the demands of a sector in constant evolution.
The next steps include an orderly transition and strategic planning for the next three years, when the new board will take office. ABES is expected to continue playing a key role in promoting a business environment that is conducive to development and healthy competitiveness among companies in the sector.
