In the incessant search to combat the creativity and sophistication of cybercriminals, which causes the exponential increase in attacks, specialized companies add different technologies to better protect their customers. The traditional Barracuda Networks, specialized in information security solutions, For example, it joins forces with SentinelOne and relies on the Singularity XDR standalone cybersecurity platform to help its Managed Service Provider (MSPs) autonomously prevent, detect and respond to threats in real time with XDR managed by Artificial Intelligence.

“The alliance between these two companies takes cybersecurity to the next level,” says Tom Camargo, director of CLM, a Latin American value-added distributor specializing in infrastructure for data centers, cybersecurity, data protection and the Cloud, which distributes solutions from XDR giant SentinelOne and Barracuda in Latin America.

It is worth remembering that XDR – Extended Detection and Response – is a multi-layer detection and response tool, which collects data and automatically correlates it across multiple security layers – email, endpoint, server, Cloud workloads and networks. SentinelOne is recognized for its XDR solution and Barracuda acquired, in mid-2021, the company SKOUT Cybersecurity, specializing in SaaS for MSPs, with XDR platform and services.

Camargo explains that SentinelOne has a new generation platform based on Artificial Intelligence that does not need to wait for the central to identify a new attack, generate a signature and make it available for download. “Which can take several hours. SentinelOne dispenses with this process, identifying changes in the behavior of the endpoint, servers, network and that's it”, says the executive.

In turn, Barracuda, also distributed by CLM, wants to strengthen its endpoint protection and response portfolio for MSPs, which is most effective with the integration of the next-generation API and flexible workflow capabilities of the SentinelOne platform. . Now, both MSPs using Barracuda SKOUT Managed XDR and those using SentinelOne XDR can access analysis, detection and incident reporting in a very agile and simple way.

Automation alleviates bottlenecks for security teams

One of the biggest problems of proactive monitoring in cybersecurity is the excess of data and alerts, from the various protection technologies installed in an organization. This hurdle, exacerbated by the lack of enough qualified people to operate cybersecurity products at scale, is eliminated with SentinelOne's behavior-based automation that monitors all assets on a network. As a result, actions become more preventive (rather than reactive), response times are faster and workflows are automated, in a scenario where perimeters have become increasingly dynamic.

In addition, SentinelOne's behavioral AI-powered Singularity XDR platform replaces traditional and next-generation antivirus, endpoint detection and response (EDR) systems, and a variety of point products.

Barracuda MSP Senior Vice President Neal Bradbury says the partnership with SentinelOne will enable MSPs to stay one step ahead of attackers and deal with intrusion attempts in real time.

“Everywhere data resides is vulnerable, from the device to the server to the Cloud. Combining XDR with SentinelOne AI and Barracuda's SKOUT Managed XDR helps MSPs fill in the gaps and simplify diverse cybersecurity solutions, eliminating the inefficiencies associated with legacy systems powered by multitudes of users." - SentinelOne Worldwide MSP President Brandon Andrews.
