Compliance seal guarantees the company's integrity, compliance and qualifies it to sell to the government safely

CLM, a Latin American value-added distributor specializing in data center infrastructure, cybersecurity and cloud, has just won the CertiGov transparency and ethics certification.

The certificate completes CLM's Integrity Program, which had been certified by the multi-association initiative An Ethical Company.

The seal attests to the company's integrity actions in its processes, policy and ethical culture. With the certificate, CLM encourages the practice of Ethics, Legality and Morality, Fair Competition, throughout its ecosystem.

The companies that win the CertiGov demonstrate their position against corruption and against bribery, demonstrating that they have the concepts disseminated in their organization and employees, and implement good practices to reduce the risks of involvement in illicit actions. CLM's certification process included a detailed assessment of its processes, risks and adherence to rigorous standards of integrity, culture and training of its people.

CLM CEO Francisco Camargo says that in order to be eligible for the evaluation process, CLM had to prove that it has anti-bribery and anti-corruption policies and guidelines, be active in supplying the public sector and the entire sales process to governments was thoroughly analyzed. .

“CLM's certification process took two and a half months and included a thorough investigation of partners, executives and documents, detailed assessment of processes and risks, adherence to strict integrity standards, interviews and training. The certification criteria are based on national and international laws and anti-corruption standards and this was important in the audit of our Governance”, explains Camargo.

The requirements of CertiGov, fulfilled by CLM, are based on the requirements of the Brazilian Anti-Corruption Law (Law 12,846/2013), of the ISO 37,001:2016 standard, of the Foreign Corruption Practices Acts (FCPA, the US Foreign Corruption Act), the Bribery Act (the UK version) and the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Anti-Corruption Convention.

“CertiGov is an important seal not only for the company, but also for all its suppliers, resellers, customers and the government itself, as well as others who are part of its business relationships. It brings more security and reduces the risks in transactions”, says Carolina Utida, director of CertiGov.

CLM explains that the CertiGov seal helps companies that participate in government tenders, fostering an ethical culture in channels, resellers and partners. The advantages of being able to count on this certificate are several: greater security that channels, resellers and partners are qualified to participate in public bids, reduction of the risk of involvement in illegal and fraudulent situations, improvement of corporate governance, avoiding the loss of resources , increased credibility with public bodies and public opinion, implementation of compliance practice in a preventive and non-reactive manner, among others.

“With the achievement of CertiGov, our clients will have more opportunities to work with governments at all three levels, because they know that we have been carefully evaluated and that we meet high standards of security and integrity”, concludes the CEO of CLM.
