AGL Solutions developed for SAP Business One users in the retail sector, an application that operates as an extension of ERP's financial, purchasing and commercial routines. The extensions were developed using the low-code GeneXus solution, which has pre-configured features from SAP Fiori and the SAP HanaDB database, bringing simplification and a better user experience to users.

The solution was designed to meet a critical business mission of small and medium-sized companies in the retail segment: the volume of transactions, which, despite being smaller than the amount practiced in large companies, is still a considerable number, which process needs to be optimized.

“Using the low-code GeneXus for SAP System Fiori development platform, we brought a more agile and dynamic usability process to SAP B1 for the retail segment, reducing operations to fewer screens and clicks, which speeds up the retail operation ”, explains Alexandre Torres Vasques, managing partner of AGL Solutions.

The executive comments that the choice of GeneXus, which is a global developer of software products based on Artificial Intelligence, was due to its ability to accelerate the construction of the system, as it contains generators that automate code generation.

“What attracts us about Genexus is the speed of code generation. With it, we write little code and apply patterns on application screens, generating the same experience as SAP Fiori. We had gains of more than 50% in productivity compared to a traditional development”, explains Torres.

According to Torres, regardless of the segment that uses SAP B1, specific application development promotes the changes necessary for each company to better exploit its business.

For GeneXus Brazil country manager, Ricardo Recchi, the support of a low-code tool for developing solutions brings more productivity to companies in the technology sector. “With GeneXus, AGL Solutions can focus on customer problems and less on programming, offering robust, centralized and 100% solutions that adhere to all the processes that sectors need for effective management”, concludes Recchi.
