Apple devices and TOTVS software help doctors remotely assist patients during the period of social isolation and afterwards, within an inevitable “new normal”

Agasus, a national reference in IT hardware leasing with embedded services, joined TOTVS, the largest management software development company in Brazil, to boost telemedicine in the country, offering packages that combine the signature of office management software device rental. The spread of the new coronavirus led the Ministry of Health to authorize telemedicine for the duration of the pandemic, which increased the demand for medical services and infrastructure for remote care efficiently and safely. With software solutions and devices provided by the partnership between Agasus and TOTVS, professionals do not have to pay cash to buy the necessary products. Professionals can consult the service packages available at https://agasus.com.br/elevesaude/.

The idea of the partnership is to provide doctors, in a single package, with the rental of safe and high-performance hardware offered by Agasus and the subscription to Eleve Saúde (Personal Med Line), specific software for medical offices whose online version has been on the market since 2016. We select devices exclusively from Apple. “We included Mac and iPad in the solution, due to the recognized quality, safety and acceptance in the medical community. We conducted a survey that showed that 70% of doctors prefer the Apple brand ”, says Marcelo Cabral, executive of innovation and services at Agasus. "By choosing one of the packages, the doctor will have a lower cost than if he separately contracted the software subscription and the hardware rental", says Ramon Martins, product director at TOTVS.

The solution includes unlimited maintenance of the hardware and delivery and removal of devices throughout the national territory, services that are in charge of Agasus. The company also ensures the constant updating of the devices and their adaptation to the General Data Protection Law (LGPD), whose effective date will be determined by the government. With the TOTVS software that is part of the partnership, the doctor will have access to resources such as teleconsultation, digital prescription of medicines, scheduling appointments and sending e-mail to the patient with a secure link (unique key) for call center, in addition to forwarding certificates and exam requests to the patient.

“Eleve Saúde provides the physician with a complete tool for teleconsultation, as it has a video conference feature embedded in the electronic medical record, which is essential for the registration of care and for the indication of the treatment to be followed by the patient, by sending a medical prescription. by SMS, even allowing for the digital signature of this document ”, stresses Martins, recalling a recent case in which Eleve Saúde facilitated the access of a patient, a pregnant woman, who was in Azerbaijan to her obstetrician in Brazil. “The patient wanted her husband, who was in Italy, to participate in the teleconsultation as well. Through Eleve Saúde, the doctor sent the invitation and authorized the husband's participation in the consultation ”, she reports.

Agasus has a robust portfolio of equipment, in quantity and quality, for the partnership with TOTVS and other businesses. At the beginning of the year, the company, belonging to the 220 Capital fund, issued R$ 50 million in debentures and allocated 70% of the funds raised to the acquisition of hardware. Today, Agasus has about 60 thousand leased items and 800 customers, including Riachuelo, Leroy Merlin, Enel and Natura, in addition to smaller companies.
