After a stint in Mexico leading the Hispanic markets for Adobe, the executive becomes responsible for Latin America as a whole, also taking over the Brazilian market for the Enterprise area
Adobe Experience Cloud, considered a world reference in marketing solutions and digital media, announces the promotion of Douglas Montalvão as General Director in Latin America, taking the lead in the Enterprise area also in the Brazilian market. In the last three years, the executive has been at the forefront of the company's expansion in the region's Hispanic countries.
Montalvão has over 20 years of experience in the technology industry, helping Latin American companies become more digital and data-driven to optimize growth and be more competitive. “The experience of working and leading teams from different countries in Latin America gives me confidence to take on this new challenge with the Brazilian team and guide them in Adobe's purpose of transforming the region's market through digital experiences”, he says.
Before moving to Mexico, the executive was the leader of the Customer Solutions area at Adobe and also worked at SAS, where he held different positions in Brazil and Latin America. Montalvão has a degree in Statistics from Unicamp and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management. “I'm passionate about technology and my training allowed me to focus on big data and artificial intelligence applied to business from a very early age”, he explains. “I come from the time when Artificial Intelligence applied to business was still called Data Mining”, he jokes.
Finally, Montalvão states that there are complex scenarios in which companies invest thousands in technology, but fail to promote real transformation in business and its culture. “My main role at Adobe is to bring this knowledge to the market, showing how companies from the most diverse segments can take advantage of the full potential of available technology when they have a data-driven culture and a clear business strategy”.
