\n\tAccording to IDC, a market intelligence, consulting services and conferences company for the Information Technology and Telecommunications markets, IT investment in Latin America will be US$ 139 billion, with a growth of 8.4% compared to the closing of 2013.
\n\t 
\n\tIn the region, telecom services spending will grow by 8%, reaching US$ 219 billion, from 8%. Tablets, smartphones, IT services, storage and embedded software will be the fastest growing IT categories, with 34%, 18%, 11%, 11% and 10% respectively. Forecasts for 2014 were presented by IDC Latin America. Specific forecasts for Brazil will be presented in the first week of February.

\n\t\u201cInnovation and value are two relevant factors to generate sustainable competitiveness in Latin America during 2014, where Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) will play an increasingly important role. The migration to the third platform (an architectural change based on four pillars: cloud, Big Data, mobility and social technologies) will be the center of the transition between value and innovation, driven by the transformation of processes in organizations. Mobility will be the priority of this new generation of consumers\u201d, said Ricardo Villate, Group Vice President at IDC LA.

\n\tBased on the perceptions of leading analysts at IDC Latin America, 2014 will be a year of more moderate growth compared to previous years, as companies and industries will begin the complete transformation of cross-platform solutions that began in 2013.
\n\t 
\n\tIn addition to the two drivers of the region (Brazil and Mexico), suppliers will be making long-term bets on countries that have shown a clear preference for free trade policies that encourage increased investment in IT, such as Colombia, Chile and Peru.
