The project was the first in the country for roads carried out in BIM (Building Information Modeling) and took just two years to complete.<\/p>\n<p>\tPron&#039;s BIM Manager, Eduardo Soethe Cursino, explains that, starting 2017, the project was only completed within this period thanks to the use of the BIM methodology and the support of Autodesk&#039;s AEC Collection suite. shorter deadlines and with more consistent information, identifying and solving problems that would only appear during the course of the work\u201d, he says.<\/p>\n<p>\tUsing BIM, the executive project delivered provides all the information necessary for the contractor to carry out the work. For this purpose, it foresees what will be carried out in all the disciplines involved, such as geometry, earthworks, paving, drainage, signaling, security, topography and expropriation, among others. \u201cAll of this is planned in a 3D virtual environment, with information intelligence, which makes it possible to verify everything that was projected and, later, to monitor it\u201d, he says.<\/p>\n<p>\tPron Civil Engineer and Project Manager Roberto Storti explains that with the use of Autodesk&#039;s AEC Collection suite, all this information becomes a virtual construction process. \u201cIn 2D projects, it is very difficult to have the real dimension of the work. Using 3D supporting the BIM methodology, we were able to see where the different elements fit together. This allows us to visualize the details of the project and significantly reduce any corrections\u201d, he explains, noting that the project delivered was up to the planning level.<\/p>\n<p>\tAccording to Storti, from the adoption of Autodesk solutions for BIM management, Pron is able to work on complex projects with much more quality and assertiveness, reducing stops along the works for route adjustments.<\/p>\n<p>\t<strong>Modeling with BIM<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\tFor some years now, Pron has been working with the BIM methodology. Cursino recalls that the company was already working with Autodesk solutions in its projects, which were maintained after adopting the methodology. \u201cWe already had experience with the solutions and, in addition, Autodesk was fundamental in supporting the engagement with the projects and in the transfer of knowledge\u201d, he points out.<\/p>\n<p>\tCursino recalls that the adoption of BIM represented a change not only internally, but also in the work relationship with the client. At this point, he recalls that the relationship with Autodesk allowed for a much greater exchange of information throughout the projects, helping to resolve issues arising at all stages and in the flow between different disciplines.<\/p>\n<p>\t\u201cFor this, we created internally new work policies that involve a valuable flowchart of tasks, responsibilities and management of activities that illustrate the complexity and wealth of information that a modeled work can offer\u201d, he says.
