\n\tIn Latin America, Brazil stands out in the most different economic sectors due to its relevance, market potential and attraction of foreign investment. Faced with this reality, the Brazilian Chamber of Commerce in Sweden (Brazilcham) organized a mission of Swedish entrepreneurs and institutions to Brazil, which visited ABES this Thursday (13\/02). The objective is to intensify the dialogue between Brazilian and Swedish businessmen, aiming at expanding partnerships and bilateral relations between the markets, as well as between the entities involved.<\/p>\n

\tIn addition to the businessmen, Elisa Sohlman and Kellyane Moreira, CEO and Project Manager of the Brazilian Chamber of Commerce in Sweden, were at the meeting, respectively; Agnes Lidbeck, Development Manager at the Swedish Institute; Richard Waller, CEO, and Omir Ekhlasi, Founder, both of Techaranan, an annual technology entrepreneurship competition, open to all Swedish and Nordic startups and companies, which aims to identify and reward the most innovative and promising ones.<\/p>\n

\t\"\"<\/p>\n

\tThe group was welcomed by Rodolfo F\u00fccher, president of ABES, who welcomed the group, spoke about the organization's activities and presented data on the evolution and trends of the Brazilian ICT market. He highlighted the ABES Startup Internship Program, a special associative program that makes available to participants the association's more than 33 years of experience and services in the legal, regulatory, tax and marketing areas, free of charge for 6 months.<\/p>\n

\tCarolina Marzano, the entity's compliance officer, spoke about the Uma Empresa Ethics program, which aims to encourage associates to formally adopt the highest ethical standards in dealing with their internal and external affairs, including government agents and suppliers.<\/p>\n

\tIn a relaxed atmosphere, each entrepreneur on the Swedish mission made a quick pitch to highlight the deals and partnership opportunities. The companies participating in the mission are:<\/p>\n

\tToo Good To Go<\/strong>: which is dealing with one of our biggest global challenges: the fight against food waste. Through an app, consumers can buy unsold food at cheaper supermarkets, stores and restaurants rather than having it thrown away. The company was founded in 2016 and is currently present in 14 countries and has around 500 employees. Representative: G\u00f8khan Kavak (Business Manager).<\/p>\n

\tElypta<\/strong>: an artificial intelligence-based platform that allows the early detection and monitoring of different types of cancer, measuring 20 biomarkers in a liquid biopsy, through blood and urine samples. His studies found, with exceptional accuracy, the "signatures" in 14 types of cancer. It is a cost and time efficient procedure compared to the biopsies and CT scans used today. Representative: Karl Bergman (CEO).<\/p>\n

\tHumble Company<\/strong>: produces and sells sustainable products and eco-friendly dental health items, such as the bamboo toothbrush, which is considered the world's best seller and has replaced more than 20 million plastic toothbrushes. The brushes are available in over 35 markets and 30,000 stores around the world. Representative: Noel Abdayem (Founder and CEO).<\/p>\n

\tSentinaBay<\/strong>: the company has developed processes for hardening metal surfaces, especially titanium, which they call TiSurf, a hybrid of ceramics and metal. The procedure adds attributes to titanium, making it more resistant to wear, heat and corrosion. The process itself is biocompatible. TiSurf is a lighter material than steel and also in relation to chrome materials, which it aims to replace. Tisurf components are found in NASA Satellites, Formula 1 cars, oil rigs and airplanes. \t\"\"<\/p>\n

\tKind<\/strong>: an engagement platform for patients, caregivers and family members where the patient can easily follow their care plan and where they can communicate directly with their doctor or nurse. Through the care of the platform, staff can send and share knowledge and information to patients. The company, in a short period of time, reached several commercial agreements with hospitals and municipalities. Representative: Charlotta T\u00f6nsg\u00e5rd (founder and CEO).<\/p>\n

\tTeknikf\u00f6retagen (Sweden Engineering Industries Association)<\/strong>: has more than 4000 member companies and its mission is to strengthen the competitiveness of all members \u2013 whether companies large or small. The institution works closely with its members through regional offices, providing advice and support in areas such as HR. The association works to encourage more young people to become engineers. Representative: Dan Nyman (Marketing Manager).<\/p>\n

\tNordea<\/strong>: European financial services group operating in Northern Europe and based in Helsinki, Finland. The bank is present in 20 countries around the world, such as Denmark and Lithuania, operating through branches, subsidiaries and representative offices. The group also operates an internet bank, which has over 5.9 million online customers and executes over 260 million payments a year. Representative: Jennie Hellestig (Head of Business Banking Unit).<\/p>\n

\t\"\"<\/p>\n

\tMoving Floor<\/strong>: the company has developed a solution for the automatic cleaning of farm animal boxes. The unique technology reduces ammonia emissions by about 95%, reduces water usage by 100% and even lessens the use of antibiotics. The patented concept consists of modules with endless belts that roll and clean at defined intervals, with an estimated frequency of 15 times a day. This solution increases production and reduces operating costs. Recently, the company signed an agreement with a Chinese entity to deliver 40,000 boxes for pigs.
