THE\u00a0Hydronorth<\/b>, one of the main paint and resin manufacturers in Brazil, transformed its operational management with the use of the platform\u00a0Qlik<\/b><\/a>, a global leader in data integration and quality, analytics and Artificial Intelligence (AI). Qlik's AI-based solutions are enabling companies to centralize their information, automate processes and integrate previously disconnected areas, optimizing their efficiency and promoting a cultural transformation around the use of data. The project was developed with the support of Nordica's Customer Success team, Qlik's Master Reseller in Brazil.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cOur information was fragmented across different departments, which used different and isolated parameters to calculate indicators. This lack of integration compromised decision-making, generated operational inefficiencies and a lack of governance, in addition to overloading the IT team with demands that could be automated,\u201d says Thiago Santi, IT Manager at Hydronorth. According to the executive, the difficulty in obtaining accurate information directly impacted strategic decision-making and the response time to market demands, as it was not possible to have an overall view of the organization.<\/p>\n

By adopting the Qlik platform, especially using the resources of the Qlik Talend and Qlik Sense solutions for integration, data quality and real-time analytics, the organization consolidated its databases into a single\u00a0Data Lake<\/i>\u00a0unified, creating a centralized structure for storing and analyzing information. In this way, areas such as sales, production, logistics and finance now have interactive dashboards and automated reports, accessed directly by users with advanced analyses, to support the daily monitoring of progress towards billing, production, payment and other KPI targets (Key Performance Indicators<\/i>). \u201cThis integration allowed us to have greater agility and precision in interpreting essential metrics for sustainable business growth,\u201d explains Thiago.<\/p>\n

The Qlik platform enables\u00a0<\/b>The entire organization can intuitively view and gain insights from the interpretation of large volumes of data in real time. Automated data integration and analysis eliminates manual steps that previously consumed valuable team resources, allowing them to focus on more strategic activities. In some cases, information processing time has been reduced from 40 minutes to just 40 seconds. In one specific area, it is already possible to save around 10 hours per week that were previously dedicated to creating databases and reports.<\/p>\n

In addition, the platform allows for detailed monitoring of nine thousand pallet racks, ensuring greater inventory control and preventing losses due to product expiration or logistical errors. This monitoring identifies goods close to expiration, which, combined with Qlik Sense predictive analytics, helps predict which items require attention up to six months in advance. This allows the company to implement preventive actions, such as promotional campaigns, to optimize inventory turnover, avoid losses and increase profit margins.<\/p>\n

Using the native Artificial Intelligence features of the Qlik platform, it has also been possible to assess the impact of packaging size on product lead time, making it easier for the company to implement strategic adjustments in production. Smaller packages, which previously increased the complexity of packaging and movement, are now managed more efficiently, reducing costs and optimizing the use of logistics resources. This detailed visibility of the production process also allows Hydronorth to analyze operational bottlenecks, such as pallet movement, and seek alternatives to improve efficiency throughout the logistics flow.<\/p>\n

Hydronorth also now has another foundation to carry out the\u00a0<\/b>Calculation of expenses for each product, including transportation, storage and raw materials. Using clear graphical representations of these analyses, teams have a broader view of where potential financial losses may occur and how to solve this problem. This detailed analysis supports faster and more assertive decisions, strengthening cost management.<\/p>\n

\u201cQlik\u2019s platform also provides insights into forecasting market demands, such as seasonal variations, so that organizations can anticipate and take advantage of new opportunities by adjusting their production and sales strategies more quickly, always based on objective data. Data culture and democratization of information<\/b><\/p>\n

One of the biggest changes brought about by the implementation of the Qlik platform was the democratization of access to data at Hydronorth, allowing each department to make decisions based on up-to-date and reliable information. Through training and the involvement of various areas, the company has developed a data-driven culture, in which employees recognize the strategic value of information for their daily operations. This advancement has also paved the way for a more integrated collaborative environment, in which different sectors work towards more aligned objectives.<\/p>\n
