Microsoft is now part of PwC Brasil's Agtech Innovation initiative, a hub that connects and boosts companies, startups, producers, investors, academia and other actors in the Agro innovation ecosystem. The collaboration aims to foster innovation in this segment, generating opportunities for innovation, developing new solutions and solving challenges through technologies that are transforming business and society, such as generative Artificial Intelligence (AI). Through the initiative, the company will provide mentoring and access to experts.<\/p>\n
Promoting technology is an essential topic for the agribusiness sector and is on the agenda of Brazilian CEOs in this segment. According to the 27th CEO Survey, a survey released by PwC Brasil in February this year, 71% of them believe that the use of Generative AI will increase work efficiency in the next 12 months and 69% say that the work efficiency of employees should also increase.<\/p>\n

\u201cAgribusiness has a relevant impact on the country\u2019s development and economy, and by joining forces with the sector\u2019s ecosystem, we have the opportunity to develop growth strategies and create new solutions using the potential of AI. With data analysis and the computing power of the cloud, we also have several possibilities to improve efficiency and innovation in the field\u201d, explains Andrea Cerqueira, vice president of Corporate Sales for Customers and Startups at Microsoft Brazil.<\/p>\n
AI can be applied to different use cases, inside and outside the gate. In cases that range from precision agriculture to intelligent irrigation, through agricultural management and bioengineering to credit granting and insurance risk analysis, technology can make services and processes more agile and efficient in agribusiness.<\/p>\n
Startups participating in the ecosystem will also have access to the Microsoft for Startups Founders Hub, which aims to remove barriers to startup success and provide founders with resources to support company development and building a successful startup. The initiative offers everything from Microsoft Azure credits to specialized guidance, and benefits companies around the world. Another benefit for the Agtech network is the possibilities of making its products available on the Azure Marketplace, connection with the company's investment fund, called WE Ventures, focused on stimulating female entrepreneurship in the country, and with Microsoft Reactor, a technical learning and sharing, where developers and technology professionals can connect with the local community and develop new skills to drive innovation in their organizations.<\/p>\n

The arrival of Microsoft as Innovation Corporate, associated with the hub's uniqueness, which is its vocation for agriculture, provides even more opportunities for startups, rural producers and corporations that are connected to PwC Agtech Innovation. \u201cWe continue to fulfill our mission of orchestrating this important ecosystem and helping the sector to be more efficient, innovative, technological, inclusive and sustainable\u201d, he says.<\/p>\n
The initiative is a Brazilian action that is part of a global alliance between Microsoft and PwC, signed in 2015, which aims to contribute to the digital acceleration of business through technology.
