A survey carried out by Serasa Experian to understand the profile of women working in the technology area revealed that female representation in this sector in Brazil is 0.07% \u2013 corresponding to 69.8 thousand professionals. The survey was carried out on a basis of more than 93.3 million female people. In comparison to the male public, 0.33% work in the IT area, according to a survey carried out with 92.4 million men in the country.<\/u><\/u><\/u>\u00a0<\/u><\/p>\n
Regarding the income of these women, 4 in 10 (40.4%) receive between R$ 2.5 and R$ 5 thousand per month. Compared to the general female population, 20.6% fits this classification. While 4.6% of Brazilian women earn more than R$ 7.5 thousand monthly, 18.2% IT professionals are included in this range. The research also revealed the social class and, based on the analysis, it is possible to affirm that the majority are concentrated in class B (42.2%).
