<\/p>\n\u201cWindows for Tomorrow\u201d project reinforces the importance of digital empowerment in the engagement of students and teachers<\/i><\/p>\n

The \u201cWindows for Tomorrow\u201d initiative, which for a year and a half has brought together organizations such as Recode and Petrobras in the digital empowerment of teachers and students from public schools in three Brazilian states, receives new reinforcement to bring technology to the school environment. Microsoft is now part of the project, helping to benefit hundreds of educators and students in the states of Rio de Janeiro, S\u00e3o Paulo and Esp\u00edrito Santo.<\/u><\/u><\/p>\n
\u201cTechnology, if used in an ethical and civil manner, can be a great ally for society. This coalition for digital empowerment will help strengthen the connection with students, stimulating a new generation of agents of transformation, who will be able to multiply knowledge in their neighborhoods and communities\u201d, highlights the founder and CEO of Recode, Rodrigo Baggio.<\/u><\/u><\/p>\n
\u201cWindows for Tomorrow\u201d began its activities in 2021, when 280 public schools received the donation of almost 9,000 computers, strengthening students and employees\u2019 access to the digital world. The project is still in operation and has already impacted hundreds of high school students and teachers at all stages of education with training on digital empowerment.<\/u><\/u><\/p>\n
Throughout 2022, students received support from social educators from Recode in free training trails that covered topics ranging from the basics of the digital world, with fundamental tools for everyday school life and, in the future, when entering the world of work , with training to use solutions such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point, to basic concepts about programming logic. Teachers were able to learn more about and learn more about the Recode Methodology, on issues related to integral education, Freirean thought and digital culture.<\/u><\/u><\/p>\n
Training teachers in digital skills<\/b><\/u><\/u><\/b><\/p>\n
In this new phase, in partnership with Microsoft, the project will focus on training teachers in digital skills, preparing them to interact with students through the concepts of integral education and digital culture. Teachers will be trained in topics related to gamification and experimentation with no\/low code (little or no code), based on the creative use of Minecraft.<\/u><\/u><\/p>\n
\u201cWith advances in technology in recent years, it is essential that, from an early age, people have the knowledge and resources necessary to deal with new technologies. Whether to facilitate learning or to enter the world of work, young people must be familiar with the online environment to develop digital skills and be prepared for the opportunities of now and the future.
