This is reflected in the slower growth of spending on Data Center systems, from 13.2% in 2022 to 5.7% in 2023. Banks are moving away from tangible assets and capital expenditures (CAPEX) in favor of service adoption and operating expenses (OPEX) to meet growing customer and market expectations.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-64646\" src=\"https:\/\/abes.org.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/Gartner-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"785\" height=\"259\" srcset=\"https:\/\/abes.org.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/Gartner-1.jpg 785w, https:\/\/abes.org.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/Gartner-1-480x158.jpg 480w\" sizes=\"(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) 785px, 100vw\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cTo cope with the current economic climate, CIOs from\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gartner.com\/en\/newsroom\/press-releases\/2022-09-12-gartner-says-banking-as-a-service-will-hit-mainstream\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/www.gartner.com\/en\/newsroom\/press-releases\/2022-09-12-gartner-says-banking-as-a-service-will-hit-mainstream&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1689067341680000&amp;usg=AOvVaw0CE2GJ4FTrIazU1Ef8T3TS\">Bank services<\/a>\u00a0and investment are prioritizing more conservative goals that support resilient and sustainable growth, such as a better customer experience and more efficient operations,\u201d he says.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gartner.com\/en\/experts\/peter-redshaw\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/www.gartner.com\/en\/experts\/peter-redshaw&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1689067341680000&amp;usg=AOvVaw0sGDcGJ538FeyiySLW02_W\">Pete Redshaw<\/a>, Vice President and Analyst at Gartner . \u201cThis is a shift from previous years, when sheer growth \u2013 new territories, new customers, new lines of business \u2013 was the top objective for banking CEOs.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\"><strong>IT services remain the largest spending segment \u2013\u00a0<\/strong>Driven by increased use of consulting services and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), IT services will lead the way in investment, forecast to reach nearly US$ 270 billion in 2023. This represents an increase of 9.3% compared to 2022, reflecting its increasingly important role.
