Among the special contracting conditions, ABES associates will have a discount of 15% on the average market cost, in addition to risk management and vulnerability mapping.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn the cyber and digital universe, we find risks represented by internal company factors, technical problems and external threats. This civil liability insurance was configured to meet the specific needs of technology and software companies, covering financial losses, damage to property and image damage\u201d, highlights Carlos Sacco, the association&#039;s Director of Relationship and Services.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe insurance was developed to safeguard the responsibility of companies regarding the protection, management and handling of personal data and the consequences of loss of corporate information. A type of insurance that has become increasingly relevant given the increase in cyber threats, the possibilities of system failures and new data protection laws\u201d, explains Victor Perego, from AIG.<\/p>\n<p>The insurance policy includes coverage for liability for personal and corporate data, including those managed by third-party companies. It also covers the costs of recovering lost data, lost profits from cyber attacks, as well as the costs of defense, investigation and forensic expertise, in addition to the image management issue, which can be affected in cases of leaks. \u201cNowadays, even before the Brazilian General Data Protection Law came into force, we already see cases where the Federal Public Ministry has required companies to notify users in the event of data leakage, and our insurance covers this type of expense\u201d, exemplifies Perego.<\/p>\n<p>Regarding costs, Carlos Sacco explains that the insurance is formatted according to the business profile and revenue of each company.
