This initiative is part of the company's ESG program, which sponsors other social entities such as TonyBox (community boxing), Fundo Amigos da Poli (Education), among others. CLM has also just achieved the GPTW certification<\/em><\/p>\n

As part of its ESG program,\u00a0CLM<\/a>, a Latin American value-added distributor focused on information security, data protection, cloud and data center infrastructure, announces new advances in the \u201cS\u201d axis, from\u00a0Social<\/strong>, of the acronym.<\/p>\n

\"\"The company has just received the certification\u00a0Great Place To Work<\/strong>\u00a0and continues to support organizations that work with education and sports for low-income people: Tony Boxe Team (community boxing), Fundo Amigos da Poli, support for the Brazilian Women's Softball Under 15 Team, among others.<\/p>\n

\u201con the axis\u00a0Environmental<\/strong>, the company zeroed its Carbon footprint, with the initiative\u00a0Zero Carbon<\/a>, reducing its energy consumption, buying carbon credits, which allowed it to receive the Green Treasury Certificate. In the Governance axis, several improvements were made, aiming at achieving gender parity, D&O and E&O insurance, protecting customers and employees,\u00a0Integrity Program<\/a>, with certifications\u00a0\u00c7<\/strong>ertigov<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0An Ethical Company<\/a>\u201d, according to the founder of CLM, Francisco Camargo.<\/p>\n

\"\"Under 15 women's softball at Panamericano<\/strong><\/p>\n

CLM's support for softball aims to help athletes from the under 15 women's national team, aged between 13 and 15, to participate in the Pan American championship, which takes place from April 1st to 8th, in Lima, Peru. In addition to this competition, financial support from companies encourages children to practice this sport, which works on motor coordination, reasoning, cardiopulmonary development, team spirit and self-esteem.<\/p>\n

Cristina Goto Matumoto, head of the delegation of the women's softball team for the Pan American championship, explains that it is the fathers, mothers and family members who bear 100% of expenses, unlike what happens in the US and other countries. \u201cWe have several Brazilian athletes who have gone to play in the US, with scholarships, which shows that we have great potential to train excellent athletes, however, due to lack of incentives and resources, we cannot have structured championships, clubs and schools more professionalized\u201d, says Cristina, who is the mother of one of the players and a volunteer.<\/u><\/u>\u00a0<\/u><\/u><\/p>\n

Francisco Camargo explains that financial support allows young athletes, many of whom are unable to afford the high costs, to practice the sport and achieve high performance. \u201cAs well as helping to promote the little-known softball and encourage young female athletes to make a living from the sport\u201d, he comments.<\/u><\/u>\u00a0<\/u><\/u><\/p>\n

Cristina adds: \u201cIn general, parents pay all the expenses out of love for softball and confidence in the benefits that the healthy practice of a team sport can bring to girls, not only as athletes, but as citizens\u201d.<\/u><\/u>\u00a0<\/u><\/u><\/p>\n

For the Pan American<\/strong>\u00a0the entity explains that the support of CLM and other companies is essential to help the selection with the costs, both in the preparatory period, and so that the delegation, composed of 16 athletes, three coaches, a head of delegation, a coordinator, a doctor and an accredited international referee (all volunteers), can maintain himself during the nine days of the competition. \u201cWe have expenses such as displacement of the athletes, making of uniforms, food, participation fee, tickets, lodging, laundry, medicines\u201d, informs the head of the delegation.<\/u><\/u>\u00a0<\/u><\/u><\/p>\n

The Confederation's dream is to guarantee sponsorship so that there are teams in all Brazilian states. It is worth mentioning that, for softball, materials such as balls are needed (each team needs to have at least 200 units for a good training pace), bats and gloves. As softball is still not a very popular sport here in Brazil, most of the material ends up having to be imported, greatly increasing the cost.<\/u><\/u>\u00a0<\/u><\/u><\/p>\n

\u201cCompanies' support allows athletes to develop and train in suitable conditions, even those who don't have economic resources. Currently, the costs of staying in the sport are a limiting factor for us to attract more athletes and spread the practice of the sport in Brazil\u201d, concludes Cristina.<\/u><\/u>\u00a0<\/u><\/u><\/p>\n
