Salesforce, the world leader in customer relationship management (CRM) solutions, sought to understand how business decision makers in Latin America \u2014 more specifically in Brazil, Argentina and Mexico \u2014 assess the current business landscape. The analysis, carried out in partnership with the company Morning Consult, collected around 500 testimonies in October last year in the three countries, showing that the market \u2014 still under the ghost of the pandemic, combined mainly with inflation \u2014 has seen some changes arrive with great impact. .<\/p>\n

The shortage of qualified workers was the most cited subject in the study, being considered a great challenge to be faced by companies today. More than 90% of survey participants expect companies with which they have some type of partnership to take measures to train their teams \u2014 the lack of trained professionals affects the quantity, quality and punctuality of work, generating negative effects for employees such as such as increased workload, overtime in the productive sectors and the need to promote people who do not have the necessary qualifications to assume functions with greater demands and responsibilities.<\/p>\n
In Brazil, companies have also reduced their production due to the shortage of skilled labor. Still due to the absence of these professionals, 13% of the interviewees said they needed to turn down business opportunities, while another 12% said that the company needed to be temporarily closed. To counterbalance this scenario, the solution is to invest in qualification: 23% of the interviewees say they understand that their companies invest in training to improve the existing workforce.<\/p>\n
In addition, older Brazilian professionals tend to work in jobs that require less qualification. If gender is also considered, women have a strong presence in organizations, although they occupy fewer specialized positions or functions than in administration services. In the Brazilian scenario, it is still possible to highlight that widely applicable skills \u2014 such as Information and Communication Technologies (45%), professionalism and teamwork (44%) \u2014 occupy the top of the list of priorities for professional improvement.<\/p>\n
In Latin America, one of the issues discussed equally by the three countries \u2013 Brazil, Argentina and Mexico \u2013 was investment in skills training for underrepresented groups, which would boost economic growth. For this, however, it would be necessary to ensure that these groups (LGTBQIA+, blacks, indigenous people, among others) have access to any development program.<\/p>\n
