The new project involves the creation of Artificial Intelligence models and the use of resources such as multispectral spatial analysis for the automation of soil mapping and monitoring processes, aiming at the conservation and restoration of native vegetation.<u><\/u><u><\/u><u><\/u>\u00a0<u><\/u><\/p>\n<p class=\"m_1970619065207722335ql-align-justify\">Artificial Intelligence (AI) is one of the technological competencies included in the Advanced Communications area, in which the EMBRAPII CPQD Unit is currently accredited. Technologies related to the Internet of Things (IoT), Blockchain, Security and Privacy, Optical Sensing, Connectivity and Electric Mobility are also part of this category. \u201cThese are all CPQD&#039;s technological platforms, which enables us to develop innovation solutions aimed at meeting the needs of companies in different segments, involving various technologies\u201d, says Paulo Curado, CPQD&#039;s Director of Innovation and general coordinator of this Unit.<u><\/u><u><\/u><u><\/u>\u00a0<u><\/u><\/p>\n<p class=\"m_1970619065207722335ql-align-justify\">In 8 years of acting as an EMBRAPII Unit, CPQD developed projects with 85 partner companies, of different sizes and sectors, which added up to more than R$ 152 million in investments in technological innovation initiatives. Most of the projects had small companies and startups as partners that operate in the agribusiness, health, cities and industry segments. But there are also successful initiatives with medium and large companies. These partners have already placed on the market the solutions developed with the EMBRAPII CPQD Unit to solve real problems in several sectors.<u><\/u><u><\/u><u><\/u>\u00a0<u><\/u><\/p>\n<p class=\"m_1970619065207722335ql-align-justify\">This year, the UE CPQD started executing a project based on the Basic Funding Alliance model, one of EMBRAPII&#039;s tools designed to encourage experimental research in areas with a lower level of technological maturity. Called 5G Connectivity and EDGE Computing for Digital Transformation in Industry 4.0, the project was contracted in January and involves the development of software, hardware and connectivity components aimed at creating applications for the factory floor supported by 5G technology, which will be tested on a real private network.
