Artificial Intelligence and Internet of Things, considered already old known in innovation, still have incipient security and require increased attention to monitor malicious activities<\/em><\/p>\n

Cybersecurity is a practice that, all over the world, is being updated every second. The set of conducts that encompasses it is continuously modernized, and even devices that are well known come to present new problems.<\/u><\/u><\/u>\u00a0<\/u><\/p>\n

\"\"Acorp, a Brazilian company focused on the distribution of security solutions, data storage, cloud services and unified communications, observing the demands and trends of its partners, shares five cybersecurity trends to be faced even more strategically in 2023. \u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Extra security in the Internet of Things:<\/strong>\u00a0according to ANATEL, there are currently 20 million objects connected to the internet in Brazil, with 2.5 million devices transmitting data to systems without human intervention in operation. \u201cFrom refrigerators with shopping applications to complexes used in factory plants, the particularity of platforms and the number of devices need to be monitored for security purposes\u201d, declares Acorp's director, Silvio Eberardo. The executive also reinforces that this close monitoring is also fundamental to verify the performance of the applications<\/u><\/u><\/u>\u00a0<\/u><\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0I work at home:<\/strong>\u00a0according to an IBGE survey from December 2022, Brazil has 6.5 million individuals working in the home office format. Added to this, according to the IPEA Survey of May 2022, considering the national scenario, one in four people is able to work remotely. This panorama shows that personalized and additional protections, unlike the pre-pandemic work, urgently need to be adapted. \u201cThe use of advanced protection technologies that include comprehensive threat detection and enable immediate and remote response, mitigation and remediation will be increasingly necessary\u201d, highlights Eberardo. \u201cUnlike the beginning of the pandemic, when everyone suddenly found themselves in their homes, we now have the knowledge and expertise to protect corporate equipment regardless of where they are\u201d, he adds.<\/u><\/u><\/u>\u00a0<\/u><\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Attacks by professional hackers:<\/strong>\u00a0Broadcom, an American company known globally for the development of software for the most diverse applications, publishes a weekly bulletin on the performance of the IPS (Intrusion Prevention System) platform. During the month of January 2023 alone, through this solution, the company detected and intercepted 3.5 billion attacks on 4.24 million endpoints worldwide.<\/u><\/u><\/u>\u00a0<\/u><\/p>\n

\u201cMisdemeanor attacks have been so sophisticated that cyber investigation agencies have managed to detect that some threats to companies were actually being made by professional hackers, but many of them even had links with government entities\u201d, warns the executive. \u201cFor this reason, security has to be zero priority for companies in general, of course, but mainly for those that develop their own applications for customers\u201d, explains Silvio Eberardo.<\/u><\/u><\/u>\u00a0<\/u><\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Artificial Intelligence (AI) is an additional layer that makes operations safer:<\/strong>\u00a0As cyberattacks increase in quantity and depth, artificial intelligence (AI) helps under-resourced security operations analysts prevent threats. \u201cThe interesting thing about AI is that, with curated intelligence provided by research articles, blogs and news, AI technologies provide quick insights to mitigate the non-compliance of daily alerts. As a result, we were able to substantially reduce response times\u201d, explains Eberardo.<\/u><\/u><\/u>\u00a0<\/u><\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Security as a basic premise of the IT culture: for<\/strong>\u00a0Finally, the item considered most strategic by companies when talking about cybersecurity: establishing a culture of data security. \u201cIt is of little use to implement LGPD, ISO and other certifications if there is no safety culture in the company. And this should come from the project management process to the final delivery\u201d, reinforces Eberardo. According to the executive, although convenience and comfort are often antagonistic, the innovation of security platforms has provided increasingly accurate results without additional steps. \u201cOften the use of biometrics instead of typing a password or inserting personal data is one of the examples in which robustness does not always mean compromising the agility of the experience\u201d, he adds.
