We&#039;ve seen this in action with reorganization taking place among some B2B companies, especially those that have invested in growth. However, IT budgets are not driving these changes and spending remains recession proof.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">The software and IT services segments are projected to grow by 9.3% and 5.5% in 2023, respectively. Gartner predicts the device segment to drop 5.1% this year as consumers and organizations extend device refresh cycles.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-56563 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/abes.org.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/grafico-gartner-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"672\" height=\"231\" srcset=\"https:\/\/abes.org.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/grafico-gartner-1.jpg 672w, https:\/\/abes.org.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/grafico-gartner-1-480x165.jpg 480w\" sizes=\"(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) 672px, 100vw\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cDuring the height of the pandemic, employees and consumers made technological upgrades of\u00a0<em>tablets, notebooks<\/em>\u00a0and cell phones due to remote education and working,\u201d says Lovelock. \u201cWithout a compelling reason for a new update, devices are being used longer and as a result, the market is suffering.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\"><strong>Labor market affects spending on IT services \u2014\u00a0<\/strong>The rates of job openings have been increasing every quarter and the high competition for talent is challenging CIOs in search of more qualified IT professionals, which has been limiting the development of companies that struggle to grow without the necessary professionals.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">At the same time, as spending on\u00a0<em>software<\/em>\u00a0continue to increase, the IT services market is also growing as organizations look to bring in external IT staff for implementation and support. Given this, advisory spending is expected to reach US$ 264.9 billion in 2023, an increase of 6.7% compared to 2022.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cCIOs are losing the competition for talent,\u201d notes Lovelock. \u201cIT services spending is growing faster than in-house services across all industries.
