Once again, with the support of SAS, a benchmark in analytics, registration for the\u00a0Hackathon SAS 2023<\/a>. SAS is chasing big ideas and big data experts and novices \u2014 including developers, students, startups, SAS customers and partners \u2014 to create solutions that will be taken to market or implemented in their organizations.<\/p>\n

In 2022, 1,300 people from 75 countries signed up. More than 50 teams presented their business cases. Some of the innovative projects involved issues such as optimizing the Canadian government's natural disaster relief plan, protecting smallholder farmers from the impacts of climate change, and improving access to web forms for people with disabilities.<\/p>\n

\u201cData scientists and enthusiasts: we invite you to look at the biggest challenges in your industry and your neighborhood. How would you use SAS technology, open source tools and data to 'hack' a solution that improves your world?\u201d asks Einar Halvorsen, Senior Principal Program Director at SAS.<\/p>\n

"Your team will have a SAS mentor, free access to our industry-leading software suite, and a month to accelerate your vision." Attendees will also have access to enablement resources, virtual learning labs, trainings and much more.<\/p>\n

Hackathon SAS offers inspiration and hands-on experience for both novices and those looking to refresh their skills. To the\u00a0Dataversity<\/a>, only 21% of 16-24 year olds are data literate, and only 24% of the global workforce consider themselves \u201ccompletely\u201d data literate. Many still struggle to visualize what is possible to accomplish with analytics in the real world.<\/p>\n
