The estimate is to move R$ 150 million in partnership with the industry and ten research centers, selected in a call released this Monday (19)<\/em><\/p>\n

\"\" The Brazilian Company for Industrial Research and Innovation (Embrapii) announced, this Monday (19), the investment of R$ 45 million for innovation in partnership with the industry and ten research centers that will be accredited by the organization to act as Embrapii Units. The resources go to company projects in the areas of agroindustry, biofuels, chemical inputs, energy, health, connectivity, nanotechnology, artificial intelligence and computer vision.<\/p>\n

Embrapii's development model establishes a financial contribution from companies and the economic participation of the Units in each project developed. With this, the expectation is that the amounts invested will generate an approximate investment of R$ 150 million in innovation. The resources are the result of partnerships established with the Ministries of Science, Technology and Innovation (MCTI) and Education (MEC).<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are closing 2022 with a record in contracting projects and companies served. With the addition announced today, we end the year in a position to offer the industry technical and financial resources to grow in strategic areas such as technology and sustainability, a strong trend for 2023\u201d, highlights the president of Embrapii, Jos\u00e9 Luis Gordon.<\/p>\n

Embrapa Instrumenta\u00e7\u00e3o SP, located in S\u00e3o Carlos (SP), will operate in the area of integration of enabling technologies in agribusiness;<\/p>\n

University of S\u00e3o Paulo (IQ), located in S\u00e3o Paulo (SP), operating in chemical inputs and synthetic biochemicals;<\/p>\n

University of S\u00e3o Paulo (ICMC), located in S\u00e3o Carlos (SP), working in mathematical and computer sciences;<\/p>\n

Federal University of Pernambuco (FITPEG), located in Recife (PE), working in reservoir modeling and optimization applied to energy resources and the environment;<\/p>\n

Senai DR, located in Maring\u00e1 (PR), working in structural engineering;<\/p>\n

State University of Campinas (FEQ), located in Campinas (SP), working in biomass processing for biofuels;<\/p>\n

Foundation for Technological Innovations (FITec), located in Belo Horizonte (MG), working with computer vision systems, artificial intelligence and connectivity;<\/p>\n

Senai DR, located in Recife (PE), working with geospatial intelligence systems;<\/p>\n

State University of Para\u00edba (NUTES), located in Campina Grande (PB), working in the development of hardware and software for health;<\/p>\n

Federal University of Minas Gerais (CTNano), located in Belo Horizonte (MG), working in advanced materials and nanotechnology.<\/p>\n

How it works<\/strong><\/p>\n

Embrapii operates in cooperation with research institutions, public or private, to serve the business sector, with the objective of fostering innovation in the industry. To this end, it connects research and companies, and divides risks, by contributing non-refundable resources to projects that lead to the introduction of new products and processes in the market. To have access to the Embrapii model, the company must present its technological challenge to the Unit with the technical competence that fits the needs of its project.<\/p>\n

The ten entities now selected as Embrapii Units will join the current 87 members of the network. After accreditation, the research centers will be able to receive resources to offer technical and specialized knowledge to the industry. In its 9 years of existence, 1,800 projects have already been supported, totaling R$ 2.6 billion invested in industrial innovation.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
