Companies will provide free access to 350 courses, six new Microsoft Introductory Certifications and 50,000 LinkedIn Learning Scholarships<\/i><\/p>\n

Microsoft and LinkedIn announced the next step in the Employment Skills program, providing free access to 350 courses and six new Microsoft Introductory Certifications needed for the most in-demand careers in the digital economy. Through the Pathways to Learning Skills for Employment program, Microsoft and LinkedIn will also offer 50,000 LinkedIn Premium subscriptions globally to help students of Microsoft and LinkedIn nonprofit partners who achieve a certification in career access to the 18,000 LinkedIn Learning courses offered to subscribers. By 2025, Microsoft will help train and certify 10 million people globally with the skills for the jobs most in demand. Today's launch builds on the Global Skilling Initiative, which has helped 80 million jobseekers around the world access digital skills development resources.<\/p>\n

In Brazil, as part of this initiative, 1.3 million people have been trained since July 2020 in various courses offered by both companies. The main learning paths were: Digital Literacy and Productivity, Artificial Intelligence Fundamentals, PowerApps, Power BI, Azure Fundamentals, Introduction to C# (C Sharp), Power Platform Fundamentals, Managing Team Collaboration with Microsoft 365 and Protection Against Security Threats with Microsoft 365.<\/p>\n

\"\"In this new stage, as part of the commitment to Brazil's economic development and to promote the training and retraining of the country's workforce through technology, the program \u201cPaths to learn skills for employment\u201d also makes the contents available in Portuguese. In all, there are 63 courses in the local language, completely free, on Microsoft 365, Work Optimization, Project Management, Data Analytics, Fundamentals for Business Analysis, Digital Literacy, among others. Some of the content will be available for download (links at the end of the text), along with exercises, tests, lesson plans and quizzes, which can be taken on demand. In addition, another 48 certified courses will be available directly through the\u00a0LinkedIn<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Using data from LinkedIn and the Burning Glass Institute, Microsoft analyzed job listings to determine six high-demand positions, which are: Administrative Assistant, Project Manager, Business Analyst, Systems Administrator, Software Developer and Data Analyst. The new courses and certificates will be offered in seven languages: English, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Simplified Chinese and Japanese. This expansion builds on Microsoft's commitment to supporting inclusive economic opportunities so that students around the world have equal access to the skills, technologies and opportunities needed to succeed in a digital economy.<\/p>\n

Microsoft's new Introductory Certifications are designed to help students bridge the digital literacy gap and provide a foundation for training in more advanced technical skills and earning certifications that will be valuable in the workforce. Upon completing a Learning Path, students will receive LinkedIn digital certificates that indicate to employers the candidate's achievement and fluency in that skill set.<\/p>\n
