\n\tTechnologies that offer more convenience to passengers and better management for public transport companies are spreading to medium-sized cities in Brazil.

\n\t
\n\tIn Barra do Gar\u00e7a (MT), 13 buses that already have the TDMAX electronic ticketing system will also have facial recognition, through cameras installed in the vehicles, to confirm the identity of holders of student or elderly cards. Both technologies were developed by the company Transdata Smart.<\/div>\n
\n\t
\n\tThe TDMAX electronic ticketing system will also be implemented in 14 buses of Via\u00e7\u00e3o Jata\u00ed, which operates in the city of the same name in Goi\u00e1s, and also in 26 vehicles of Santa Terezinha Transporte e Turismo, in the municipalities of Videiras and Fraiburgo, in Santa Catarina. The electronic card reduces the circulation of money on buses and the risk of robberies, in addition to increasing agility in boarding and disembarking. <\/div>\n

\n\tThe company from Santa Catarina also acquired the Data Center services, storing all the data and the operation of the system in a Transdata maximum security computing center. "This greatly reduces infrastructure costs on local servers and, above all, the risk of system crashes and data loss, avoiding stoppages in credit sales to the population", explains Luiz Delfeu, vice president of Transdata.<\/div>\n
\n\tDigital Biometrics<\/div>\n
\n\t
\n\tThe cities of Jaboticabal and Len\u00e7\u00f3is Paulista, in the interior of S\u00e3o Paulo, will adopt the digital biometric system in passenger transport. Digital identification, by means of a simple touch of the finger on the validator, confirms whether the transport user is the holder of benefits such as a student or senior citizen pass. This prevents cloning or counterfeiting, which in some cities can compromise half of the revenue or more.<\/div>\n

\n\tSectional tariff<\/strong><\/div>\n
\n\t
\n\tIn the capital of Para\u00edba, Jo\u00e3o Pessoa, more lines will charge public transport fees, depending on the stretch traveled by passengers. The TDMAX SECC technology, developed by Transdata Smart, will also be installed in 20 Santa Maria Transportes e Fretamento buses. Using GPS coordinates, the system calculates the fare based on the boarding and disembarking points of each passenger. Payment is made with a card and credits can be purchased over the internet \u2013 in the case of transport vouchers or school passes \u2013 and loaded inside the bus, when bringing the ticket to the electronic turnstile.<\/div>\n

\n\tThe sectioned tariff facilitates the integration of lines \u2013 distributing the cost of transportation more fairly among all users, in addition to providing more agility in embarking and disembarking. And the tool also facilitates the management of transport companies, with reports that analyze the flow of passengers.<\/div>\n

\n\tFleet monitoring<\/strong><\/div>\n
\n\t
\n\tIn Jaboticabal, the same buses will also have the Fleet Monitoring and Management System. Using GPS, this tool allows the company's Operations Center to track the location of all vehicles on the line in real time on the screen. Thus, it is possible to avoid the formation of convoys (queues for buses on the same line due to traffic problems), verify cases of perimeter violations, monitor the punctuality of trips, the stops made and the idle mileage of each bus, allowing that the CCO manage routes and plan improvements for the company and the population.<\/div>\n
\n\t
\n\tThe system also issues reports to monitor, via telemetry, all requests for stops, fuel consumption, ignition key on, panic button activation, use of the gearbox in neutral and the RPM range, which indicates whether the engine speed is within or above the ideal. With all these controls, it is possible to monitor safety indicators and reduce expenses with fuel consumption and fleet maintenance.<\/div>\n
