\n\tThe StartUp Brasil Program, promoted on May 11 in Recife, the welcome event (Welcome Aboard) to the 46 startups selected for acceleration in Class 5. This new group will receive an investment of R$ 9.7 million from the MCTIC budget .
\n\t 
\n\tThiago Camargo Lopes, Secretary of Digital Policies of the Ministry of Science, Technology, Innovations and Communications (MCTIC) participated in the ceremony; Ruben Delgado, president of Softex Nacional; Silvio Meira, chairman of the Board of Directors of Porto Digital; Alexandre Motta, CNPq Research, Development and Applications Support Coordinator; and Edney Marcos Mossambani, leader of the Softex Network.
\n\t 
\n\tThe program included the presentation of startups and accelerators from Class 5, guidance on the Program, success stories involving entrepreneurial culture and investments, as well as mentoring and networking sessions.
\n\t 
\n\t\u201cFrom the second cycle onwards, the presence of companies and accelerators in the North and Northeast regions has been growing, which is extremely beneficial for the ecosystem. The choice of Recife to host this welcoming event was a recognition of this positive result and signals our interest in expanding the entrepreneurial and innovative culture throughout the country \u201d, analyzes the Minister of Science, Technology, Innovations and Communications, Gilberto Kassab , remembering that one of the objectives of the program is to promote integration between entrepreneurs from all over the national territory.

\n\tRuben Delgado, President of Softex, explains that the Welcome Aboard was the first major meeting between the new participants - entrepreneurs and accelerators - and the key agents of the national entrepreneurial ecosystem. \u201cAs managers of StartUp Brasil for the next two years, we add as a value our experience in conducting internationalization programs, of quality and also the lines of financing, areas that will gain even more strength with the startups of Turma 5\u201d, he adds.

\n\tX-RAY OF THE CLASS 5 - StartUp Brasil supports national and international start-up companies with up to four years of existence and that develop innovative products \/ services using software, hardware or IT services.
\n\t 
\n\tClass 5 is made up of 46 startups from 14 states. The average size of the teams is 7 people, the average age is 30 years old and women have a participation of 21.69% among the members.
\n\t 
\n\tFrom this new group, seven startups operate in the Health area, four in IT and Telecom, three in Education, three in Finance, three in Retail, two in Agribusiness, two in Energy, two in Logistics and Transport, two in Media and Communication, two in Security and Defense, one in the Automotive area, one in Events and Tourism and one in Fashion and Beauty. The remaining 13 are from other segments.
\n\t 
\n\tThe supported startups will work in partnership with the 13 accelerators qualified for this group: ACE (S\u00e3o Paulo), Acelera Cimatec (Bahia), Acelera MGTI (Minas Gerais), Baita (S\u00e3o Paulo), Cesar.Labs (Pernambuco), FabriQ (Amazonas) ), Jump Brasil (Pernambuco), Outsource Brasil (Rio de Janeiro), Techmall (Minas Gerais), Ventiur (Rio Grande do Sul), Wave (Cear\u00e1), Wayra (S\u00e3o Paulo) and Wow (Rio Grande do Sul).

\n\tOver the next 12 months, Class 5 will participate in events and training activities and rapprochement with major national and international companies, with investors, as well as market access and public procurement programs. Participants will also receive a grant for investment in research, development and innovation according to the amount previously requested and approved in the notice *. Throughout this process, startups will be accompanied by accelerators and managers of the StartUp Brasil program.
