Research commissioned by Trend Micro also reveals that more than 40% of companies believe that the situation is out of control<\/em><\/p>\n

THE\u00a0Trend Micro<\/strong>, a global expert in cybersecurity solutions, announces the findings of Sapio Research's new global study on global organizations' concerns about cyberattacks and risk management challenges. The survey shows that Three-quarters (73%) of enterprises are concerned about attack surface growth<\/strong>.\u00a0More than a third (37%) of respondents say it is \u201cconfusing and constantly evolving,\u201d and more than two-fifths (43%) believe it is \u201cout of control.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

Visibility is once again the main obstacle when assessing risk exposure.\u00a0Nearly two-thirds (62%) said blind spots undermine security, with greater difficulties in cloud environments<\/strong>. In global organizations, the perception is that challenges are multiplied. Among those interviewed, 65% stated that being an international company, with multiple jurisdictions, makes it difficult to manage the attack surface. However, a quarter (24%) are still mapping their systems manually and 29% regionally, which can create more silos and visibility gaps.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe modernization of the IT sector over the past two years has been a necessary response to the pandemic, but in many cases it has unintentionally expanded the digital attack surface, offering cybercriminals more opportunities to compromise assets,\u201d said Bharat Mistry, technical director at Trend Micro. \u201cTo reduce visibility gaps and have effective protection, it is essential that organizations and companies have a robust security solution, with a multi-layered platform, to track suspicious behavior since the attempted invasion\u201d, says C\u00e9sar C\u00e2ndido, general director of Trend Micro Brazil.<\/p>\n
