In all, the initiative had the participation of 26 students from six institutions \u2013 Instituto Mau\u00e1 de Tecnologia (Brazil), SENAI School \u201cArmando de Arruda Pereira\u201d (Brazil), Universidad Santiago de Cali \u2013 USC (Colombia), Universidad Nacional de San Agostin \u2013 UNSA (Peru), Federal University of Santa Maria \u2013 UFSM (Brazil) and Technological University of Pereira \u2013 UTP (Colombia).<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"m_3396333963391333599xxxxparagraph\"><span class=\"m_3396333963391333599xxxxnormaltextrun\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-45718 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/abes.org.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/dassault.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"396\" height=\"222\" \/>\u201cWe are very happy to be part of this action, which rewards creativity and innovation for the development of more durable, affordable, sustainable and comfortable mechanical prostheses for people. Through the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform, these students were able to demonstrate their ideas and evaluate issues ranging from the design and ergonomics of the solutions to the durability and strength of each material applied, in 3D simulations that streamline and simplify the entire process of creating these products,\u201d he says. Fabio Gomes, Alliance Manager for Dassault Syst\u00e8mes for Latin America.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"m_3396333963391333599xxxxparagraph\">\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"m_3396333963391333599xxxxparagraph\"><span class=\"m_3396333963391333599xxxxnormaltextrun\">As part of the initiative, students were brought together in six groups with young people from different institutions and countries, so that they were exposed to challenges such as overcoming the language barrier, cultural differences and technical backgrounds, among others, encouraging collaboration and multidisciplinary learning. \u201cThus, a space was opened for new points of view and knowledge to be incorporated into real-time analyses. Even physically distant, the participants had the chance to interact and work with other young people, which means an opportunity to develop better prostheses, as well as encouraging that these thoughts also bear good fruits in the future\u201d, says Carlos Parejo, Executive Director of EDC Technology.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"m_3396333963391333599xxxxparagraph\">\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"m_3396333963391333599xxxxparagraph\"><span class=\"m_3396333963391333599xxxxnormaltextrun\">In a joint effort, Dassault Syst\u00e8mes, EDC Tecnologia and the universities came together to meet the need for training sessions for students and teachers to showcase the capabilities of the 3DEXPERIENCE platform and how each group could adopt its use during the project. During these activities there was an intense exchange of knowledge and experiences among all.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"m_3396333963391333599xxxxparagraph\">\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"m_3396333963391333599xxxxparagraph\"><span class=\"m_3396333963391333599xxxxnormaltextrun\">The dynamics of the project also brought other important challenges for the development of young people, including issues such as adjusting the calendar, defining stages and monitoring results, among others, with the 3DEXPERIENCE platform at the center of activities.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"m_3396333963391333599xxxxparagraph\">\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"m_3396333963391333599xxxxparagraph\"><span class=\"m_3396333963391333599xxxxnormaltextrun\">In addition to the technical experience related to the search for innovative options and the development of practical solutions to meet the real demands of users, the project aimed to provide relevant personal experiences for these young talents. Among the six models that were presented at the initiative, a highlight was a project that used the 3DEXPERIENCE platform to combine different materials (such as silicone, aluminum, carbon fiber and steel) in the different points and elements of the transtibial prosthesis.<\/span><span
