The executive, who until then was the company&#039;s sales director, aims to continue the company&#039;s excellent results in the country, one of SAS&#039;s main markets in the Americas.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_43386\" style=\"width: 341px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-43386\" class=\"wp-image-43386\" src=\"https:\/\/abes.org.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/Andre-Novo.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"331\" height=\"222\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-43386\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Andr\u00e9 Novo: I am very happy to take over the SAS Brasil operation at such an important time.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>\u201cI am very happy to take over the operation of SAS Brasil at such an important moment, both in business and in the management of the team. I believe that the main challenge of this new position will be to maintain the evolution that SAS Brasil has been presenting in recent years in terms of results and continue with the evolution of the team, especially with the gradual return to the hybrid work model\u201d, comments the executive. He also highlights the fact that 2022 will be an atypical year, with an electoral process and the World Cup. \u201cThis will probably mean that we will have to deliver results in 12 months in 9\u201d, he predicts.<\/p>\n<p>Novo has over 35 years of experience in the technology market, 13 of which are dedicated to SAS Brasil. In the last three years, he served as director of sales at SAS, being responsible for sectors such as finance and government. Since mid-2020, he has shared the leadership of the SAS Brazilian operation with Luiz Riscado, sales director for telecommunications, banking and retail.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBrazil is one of SAS&#039;s main markets in the Americas and, therefore, we understand that it is important to have an experienced and highly qualified executive closely monitoring local opportunities and challenges. I was very close to the operation in recent months, but with the cooling of the COVID-19 pandemic and the resumption of face-to-face activities, the performance of the country manager will be fundamental for the maintenance and evolution of good results\u201d, explains M\u00e1rvio Portela, vice-president.
