The general Technological Productivity Index (TPI) of the segment pointed to a low-use scenario, in which the interviewed companies registered an average of 0.38 points - on a scale from 0 to 1, which reveals ample room for expanding digitalization and evolve the digital transformation in the Logistics market.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">In all, 740 interviews were carried out with national and multinational companies, with sales equal to or greater than R$ 5 million from June to September 2021. Among the companies interviewed,\u00a0<strong>16% correspond to logistics service providers\u00a0<\/strong>(companies whose main activity is linked to logistics management), being 9% carriers; 6% logistics operators; and 1% bonded facility. the others\u00a0<strong>84% refer to shippers\u00a0<\/strong>(companies whose core business is in another activity, but logistics management is also essential), being 36% from retail, 35% from distributors, 9% from industry and 4% from agribusiness.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">When analyzed separately, the subsegments showed a big difference in the result of the technological productivity index: the\u00a0<strong>logistic service providers\u00a0<\/strong>got\u00a0<strong>0,55<\/strong>\u00a0in the IPT, while the\u00a0<strong>shippers\u00a0<\/strong>registered\u00a0<strong>0,35<\/strong>. Regarding this conclusion of the study, Angela Gheller, director of Logistics at TOTVS, points out: \u201cIt is important for the sector as a whole to pay attention to the synergy and cooperation with which providers and shippers operate, in order to increase the productive efficiency of the market for general way and reduce the logistical cost of operations.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">For the composition of the index, the research evaluates two indicators: (1) the internalization of these systems, that is, how much these solutions are used, whether they meet the company&#039;s objectives and whether the team is able to use them; and, (2) the performance gain that these solutions provide to the business and operations.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">With regard to the internalization of the use of ERPs and management systems, the process is similar between logistics service providers and shippers: both claim that systems and solutions help a lot or totally in the goals of companies and that systems and solutions are very or fully integrated. The most specific difference between the audiences is in the level of customization of the systems, which is greater among logistics service providers.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">Regarding the perception of the impact of the use of technology on business performance, the survey observed that, from the adoption of different management systems, 88% from logistics service providers and 83% from shippers ensure that there was a gain in agility in internal processes. Still on performance, for 84% of logistics service providers, the use of systems ensured compliance with regulatory standards, while for shippers, the index is 74%.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\"><strong>Implementation of technologies by segment<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">Regarding the use of automated transport management systems, logistics service providers make high use for logistics optimization and routing (70%) and tracking integration (74%), while shippers have a lower proportion for the same uses, with 50% and 47%, respectively. Storage management draws attention in the survey negatively, as only 53% use mobile devices in the operation, only 45% use barcodes \/ RFID \/ BEACON and 37% have hardware integration. These are technologies that deserve attention from the sector due to the mobility and accuracy they provide to logistical processes, resulting in even more productivity.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">The study also revealed the main logistics technology tools used by the Brazilian market, highlighting the priority of each subsegment: by\u00a0<strong>shippers<\/strong>\u00a0technologies for the collection and delivery of goods (50%), storage management (46%) and check list system (40%); for logistics service providers, in turn, the main technologies are focused on fleet monitoring (66%), transport management (TMS) (61%) and logistics cost management (60%).<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\"><strong>Trend for the next two years<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">With the objective of offering a look at the future of the Logistics sector, the TOTVS study also analyzed how shippers and logistics service providers are technologically preparing themselves for the new market demands and what are the main investment trends of the industry players.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">Among shippers, 84% of respondents recorded an average of 0.27 points. The main technologies they intend to invest in the next two years are solutions in mobile devices (68% \u2013 \u201ctotally and very much\u201d), digital signature system (59%) and in the digitization of processes in general (61%). Service providers, 16% of the companies interviewed, follow the same trend. There will be a high investment in digitization of processes in general (70%), solutions in mobile devices (67%) and digital signature systems (61%).<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">To check the
