There will be two centers in S\u00e3o Paulo together with Unesp (Universidade Estadual Paulista) and Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie, in addition to one in Rio de Janeiro with the company AI2Biz. The projects aim to collaborate with the industry and scientific community in solving complex problems through the use of Artificial Intelligence.&nbsp;<br \/>\n\t&nbsp;<br \/>\n\tIntel also offers, through this initiative, workshops, given by universities, to the entire scientific community and software developers with the aim of highlighting the full potential of artificial intelligence in machine learning. The centers will also collaborate with Intel customers to conduct proof-of-concepts, pilot projects and solutions for different industry verticals. Currently, there are ongoing projects in the financial area and in the oil and gas sector.<br \/>\n\t&nbsp;<br \/>\n\t\u201cThe application of artificial intelligence in business has enormous potential in Brazil. With these projects, we are accelerating the power and speed of data analysis through the continuing evolution of high-performance computing, big data and artificial intelligence. Machine learning creates a smarter, more connected world for all of us,\u201d says Mauricio Ruiz, general director of Intel Brazil.&nbsp;<br \/>\n\t&nbsp;<br \/>\n\tIntel will provide machine learning projects with complete tools to bring performance to Big Data applications, such as Intel Python Distribution, Intel Math Kernel Library and Intel Data Analytics Acceleration Library, which are essential to extract all parallelism from Xeon and Xeon Phi processors. The Centers will have contact with Intel software engineers from different countries and will have personalized technical support.<br \/>\n\t&nbsp;<br \/>\n\tThe machine learning centers are part of the company&#039;s global initiative, called Intel AI Academy, which aims to provide training in Artificial Intelligence for students of Computing Courses (Science, Engineering and related) and development of artificial intelligence applications. Big Data technologies that make use of Artificial Intelligence algorithms generally demand large computational power and high-performance machines. The centers of excellence will also feature tools such as the Intel Deep Learning SDK, which facilitates the application development process, increases productivity and accelerates time-to-market in deep neural network (or Deep Learning) applications.<br \/>\n\t&nbsp;<br \/>\n\t\u201cThe biggest software companies in the world are developing artificial intelligence tools and making this technology available to the entire community. Intel&#039;s proposal to optimize these tools for its architecture and establish partnerships with universities for the validation and dissemination of this knowledge is strategic for its leadership in the development and production of processors\u201d, explains Prof. Dr. Leandro de Castro, Coordinator of the Natural Computing and Machine Learning Laboratory (LCoN) at Mackenzie University.<br \/>\n\t&nbsp;<br \/>\n\t&quot;This joint initiative by Intel and AI2Biz Lab (www.ai2bizlab.com.br) will provide technical resources oriented to Artificial Intelligence projects, which are increasingly required in corporate environments, in addition to creating links with academic research circles.
