City Halls and Innovative Businesses are awarded in the two days of the event, which opened space for entrepreneurship in cities across the country; ABES participated and institutionally supported this edition of Connected Smart Cities<\/i><\/p>\n
In its seventh year of edition, Connected Smart Cities & Mobility resumed in person the event that discusses projects and actions of smart cities, at the Frei Caneca Convention Center, in S\u00e3o Paulo. This year, the event had a hybrid format, being on the 1st and 2nd in person, with simultaneous transmission in digital, and on the 3rd only digital. There were more than 300 speakers and approximately 600 people who attended the first two days of the event, in addition to 2,400 accesses on the online transmission platform.<\/p>\n
ABES \u2013 Brazilian Association of Software Companies, led by its director Jamile Sabatini Marques, participated in the event with a technology and innovation agenda focused on smart cities, with the panel \u201cThe impact of ESG in times of crisis in the technology sector<\/strong>\u201c, with the participation of Tatiana Tucunduva Philippi Cortese, Researcher at the USP Global Cities Synthesis Center; Felipe Silva Martins, Professor at Uninove and Institute of Advanced Studies at USP; and Tatiana Wittman, Master's Student in Engineering and Knowledge Management at UFSC (Federal University of Santa Catarina).<\/p>\n The 7th edition shared the same space with AirConnected at the Convention Center. The search for the event came from various parts of Brazil. The Southeast region represented 46% of presence. Right behind, it was the southern state of Rio Grande do Sul, with 21%, who were most interested in learning about the projects for\u00a0Smart Cities and aviation cases.<\/i>\u00a0In third place was the Northeast with 17%, followed by the Midwest with 8%. The North region, with 5%, was also not left out. Although distant, Paraupebas, in Par\u00e1, attended with a delegation of 15 people. The Special Secretary of Government, Keniston Braga, says he was thrilled with what he witnessed at Connected. \u201cWe are going to transform Parauapebas into a national reference in matters of Smart Cities. This is a path of no return. A positive legacy that we are going to leave for current and future generations\u201d, he stated.<\/p>\n Access for all speakers and participants was only allowed after the Vaccine Passport was required, as per state decree valid from September 1st. The guests presented proof of the first dose against Covid-19, underwent the PCR test and, after negative, were released for the event. Paula Faria, CEO of Necta, and creator of Connected Smart Cities & Mobility commented that, even before the state decree, the organization was already complying with all the rules of the security protocol. "It is essential that we manage to make protocols that actually bring security to people, and that we are able to inspire the government to pass on these good practices so that people occupy the event spaces again," said the CEO .<\/p>\n First Day \u2013 Ranking<\/b><\/p>\n On the first day of the event, the highlight, right after the Opening Ceremony, was the presentation of the Connected Smart Cities 2021 Ranking. technology and innovation, economy, education, health, safety, entrepreneurship, governance and energy, themes discussed in the three days of the event.<\/p>\n S\u00e3o Paulo (SP) remained in first place overall in the Ranking. Florian\u00f3polis (SC) was in second place, followed by Curitiba (PR), Bras\u00edlia (DF), S\u00e3o Caetano do Sul (SP), Rio de Janeiro (RJ), Campinas (SP), Niter\u00f3i (RJ) and Salvador (BA) . The cities of Balne\u00e1rio Cambori\u00fa (SC), Belo Horizonte (MG), Barueri (SP), Palmas (TO), and Jaguari\u00fana (SP) were also awarded. Mayors and municipal secretaries received the trophy for the smartest and most connected city in Brazil.<\/p>\n Right after lunch, panels started in a round table format, divided by thematic axes between connected cities, participatory and engaged cities, entrepreneurial cities, prosperous cities, human, resilient and inclusive cities, sustainable urbanism in cities, connectivity and integration, date analytics, trends, shared mobility, active mobility, electric vehicles, and mobility for people.<\/p>\n Second Day - Prize<\/b><\/p>\n On the second day, the roundtables continued and the winners of the Connected Smart Cities 2021 Award were revealed. This year, the Award was divided into the categories Business in Operation (with products or services available on the market), and Pre-Operational Business (which are still in the development stage). From each category, five finalists were chosen. Among them, there were three first placed.<\/p>\n In the Pre-Operational Business category, the third place went to Vitor Dutra with the project of\u00a0DAE - Efficient Active Debt<\/b>, from Bahia, which created a platform to encourage municipal collection with the recovery of public debts. Who took second place was the\u00a0Bus<\/b>\u00a0of the Collective Mobility on Demand, from Bras\u00edlia, which, through a platform, offers collective services on demand. And on\u00a0first position<\/b>, won the\u00a0Boomerang Method<\/b>, which aims to manage waste in hospitals and health services.<\/p>\n In the Business in Operation Category,\u00a0Er\u00ea Lab<\/b>, from S\u00e3o Paulo, came in third place with the creation of playful spaces in favor of childhood. In second place in this category, the\u00a0Lemobs - School Feeding<\/b>, from Rio de Janeiro, was chosen. The solution supports the management of municipal school meals with menus developed by nutritionists, which help to reduce waste. And as a winner in\u00a0first position<\/b>, was the\u00a0Horus Monitoring System<\/b>, from Florian\u00f3polis, which combines satellite images, drones and artificial intelligence to identify irregular works and deforestation.<\/p>\n Connections and Business Rounds\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n Over the two days, in face-to-face and digital format, Connected Smart Cities & Mobility, added to AirConnected, had 56 companies participating in the Connections and Business Rounds. There were 82 meetings that moved the market of organizations seeking to solve problems with urban mobility, sustainability and infrastructure, both in the context of smart cities and in the aerospace sector.<\/p>\n The 7th edition of Connected Smart Cities & Mobility was a success because we returned with enthusiasm, bringing back people's warmth, face-to-face discussions, eye to eye.
