Extraordinary General Meeting re-elects Marcos Pereira Chairman of the Softex Board<\/p>\n

With the participation of the Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, Marcos Pontes, the Association for the Promotion of Excellence in Brazilian Software \u2013 Softex, promoted this Monday (26) its Extraordinary General Assembly, held in conjunction with the Ordinary Meeting of its Council of Management.<\/u><\/u><\/p>\n

On occasion, the federal deputy\u00a0Marcos Pereira<\/a>\u00a0(Republicanos\/SP) was re-elected chairman of the Softex Board of Directors and federal deputy Vitor Lippi (PSDB-SP) was re-elected vice-president for a two-year term. ). Ruben Delgado and Di\u00f4nes Lima continue, respectively, as president and vice president of the entity.<\/u><\/u><\/p>\n

Marcos Ant\u00f4nio Pereira is a lawyer, master in Constitutional Law, professor, legal author and is the current 1st Vice-President of the Committee on Constitution, Justice and Citizenship of the Chamber of Deputies. Former Minister of Industry, Foreign Trade and Services and National President of the Republican Party, Marcos Pereira is from Esp\u00edrito Santo and was elected federal deputy for S\u00e3o Paulo in 2018.<\/u><\/u><\/p>\n

\u201cWe have bold and extremely disruptive projects in the pipeline for this biennium in the areas of microelectronics, artificial intelligence and entrepreneurship. All of them with the same central objective: to boost the development of Brazil through the expansion of innovation and competitiveness of the Brazilian productive sector\u201d, said Marcos Pereira.<\/u><\/u><\/p>\n

Vitor Lippi is a doctor, was Secretary of Health, Mayor of the city of Sorocaba, in the interior of S\u00e3o Paulo, President of the Sorocaba Technological Park, and is serving his second term as federal deputy. In addition to being the rapporteur of the Special 5G Technology Subcommittee in Brazil, he is also a member of the Science and Technology, Communication and Informatics Commission (CCTCI).<\/u><\/u><\/p>\n

Working in favor of the development of Digital Transformation for almost 25 years, Softex creates, promotes and executes initiatives in the national and international scope in the areas of technology and information. Today, it has established itself as the main Brazilian institution connecting actors from the three spheres: Government, Academy and Private Sector.<\/u><\/u><\/p>\n

\u201cIt is a very emerging sector, more than 30% of growth in 2020, and we have a technological revolution going on, everything will need technology and software. Our digital age is just beginning, I feel honored and I trust the sector as a generator of jobs and opportunities\u201d, commented Lippi.<\/u><\/u><\/p>\n
