In a new partnership, Taggen, specialized in solutions for the Internet of Things, joined Inatel to develop a pioneering product in Latin America: the new generation of TaggenBeacon in the BLE 5.1 version. The innovation provides up to eight times the ability to identify and locate \u201cthings\u201d with sub-meter precision, in addition to making connections via Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 4G LTE, NBIoT and 5G. For the introduction of this new generation of device, the partnership is receiving non-refundable resources from EMBRAPII (Empresa Brasileira de Pesquisa e Inova\u00e7\u00e3o). The partnership with Inatel includes the development of the new TaggenGateway.<\/p>\n
Together, the products expand the possibilities of applications in various verticals, including: the automotive industry, logistics, retail, oil and gas, health, agribusiness and smart cities. By installing a set of sensors in the beacon, it is possible to detect and measure luminosity, temperature, pressure, accelerometer, among other parameters.<\/p>\n
According the Business Development Manager at Inatel Competence Center, Sandro Duarte Azevedo<\/strong>, Beacon BLE 5.1 is just the first project in this partnership. \u201cTaggen is a startup<\/em> with a strong desire for innovation and found in Inatel a technological partner to help it develop solutions for the different segments in which it intends to operate with its portfolio<\/em> of differentiated devices\u201d, he says.<\/p>\n Beacons for 5G<\/strong><\/p>\n On the expected results of this first partnership challenge, Taggen CEO Werter Padilha<\/strong>, highlights that the new technological combo will already be prepared for 5G. \u201cThis new technological generation of beacons was created with a series of extremely innovative features, aiming to meet the latest traceability demands, such as, for example, the assessment of the distance between people and objects, detection of \u201cman down\u201d and sensing of environments\u201d , explains Werter Padilha.<\/p>\n Taggen is a reference in the beacon segment, a small device that emits an intermittent signal and can be accurately detected by a smartphone with BLE (Bluetooth) technology. \u201cThe new generation will increase the segments served, such as hospitals and agribusiness, providing highly reliable accuracy for tracking, with low energy consumption and reduced acquisition cost\u201d, informs the Taggen's commercial manager, Sergio Passaretti.<\/strong><\/p>\n More accurate and reliable geolocation<\/strong><\/p>\n O Inatel Competence Center Solutions Specialist, Lucas Jun Sakai<\/strong>, who is part of the research and development team, emphasizes that the project reaffirms the institution's commitment to meeting the needs of society. \u201cOne of the current demands for reliable geolocation is managing social distancing, within businesses and elsewhere, to combat Covid-19. And one of the premises of this project with Taggen is to present a competitive product so that its use is broad and accessible\u201d, highlights the engineer.<\/p>\n for the coordinator Inatel Engineering Projects, Francisco Martins Portelinha Junior<\/strong>, the partnership for the development of a pioneering product in Latin America \u201creinforces Inatel's commitment to proposing and developing innovative solutions for the national and international market\u201d, he points out.
