VTEX, a Brazilian multinational specialized in ecommerce, announces the opening of a new office, this time in Lisbon, the first in Portugal. For the company, opening another unit in Europe is an opportunity to turn the company into a technology hub in one of the continent's most promising markets. The company intends to hire new professionals by the end of the year with technical and senior profiles to make up the team, which should be in line and support the company's ecosystem, operating in 32 countries, boosting the platform's solutions and, consequently, the business .<\/p>\n

The unit in Portugal will be responsible for the Catalog, a module that has a global impact and is considered the heart of e-commerce, as it allows the management of products from more than 2,500 active VTEX online stores around the world. Through the platform and its solutions, VTEX offers customers a unified commerce system, capable of connecting physical stores to ecommerce data, enabling retailers to customize promotions, leverage sales and most importantly, create extraordinary shopping experiences while maintaining brands relevant to your consumers.<\/p>\n

This expansion reinforces VTEX's commitment to continuously improving the platform, with the development of new tools, solutions and the constant evolution of existing products. \u201cVTEX is a company that is growing a lot. VTEX has recorded average revenue growth of 951TP1Q year over year\u00a0(YoY fx neutral)<\/em>\u00a0and, since last year, it has been expanding rapidly with the recent opening of new offices. The multinational was named \u201cLeader\u201d in the IDC MarketScape, Worldwide B2C Digital Commerce Platforms 2020 Vendor Assessment, a study that assesses platforms from around the world in the cloud B2C digital commerce category, having stood out against companies such as Commercetools and Salesforce. The IDC Worldwide Digital Commerce Applications Market Shares, 2019, indicates that VTEX is the fastest growing digital commerce software platform in the world, with growth of 44.1% in the period analyzed, surpassing the overall market growth average, which was of 13.2%. VTEX is recognized as a \u201cVisionary\u201d in Gartner's Magic Quadrant for Digital Commerce, 2020 annual report, which evaluates technology providers for digital commerce in the B2B and B2C segments.<\/p>\n

With the opening in Portugal, the company reaches the mark of 5 operations in Europe, with the other units in London, England; in Milan, Italy; in Barcelona, Spain and in Bucharest, Romania.<\/p>\n

With more than 365 million dollars raised in less than a year, the unicorn, valued at US$ 1.7 billion, intends to hire middle and senior employees for the local team, by the end of the year, for the positions of Product Managers, Product Designers , Software Engineers and Engineering Managers.<\/p>\n
