ABES&#039; Innovation and Development Director, Jamile Sabatini Marques, attended the Regional Event Florian\u00f3polis, organized by Connected Smart Cities, and moderated the panel &#039;Presentation of the Smart Cities plan for Florian\u00f3polis&#039;.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">The research, carried out by Fecomercio with support from ABES and in partnership with the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC), the University of S\u00e3o Paulo (USP), QUT from Australia, the Capital City Hall, the Instituto Lixo Zero, Floripamanh\u00e3, Senac, Sebrae SC and the State Government, shows that training, attracting talent, creating more social spaces and valuing local art and culture are among the measures considered essential to transform the city.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cWith this study we were able to verify that, among other actions, it is important that we work on entrepreneurship in children and women, and especially in the technology and innovation sector, which demonstrates a lack of qualified labor. In addition, it is necessary to invest in reducing bureaucracy, infrastructure and intelligent urban mobility, thus we are able to provide a better structure for having young talents and emerging people qualified for the labor market. This critical look at all these points is essential and of fundamental importance for the construction of a smart city\u201d, points out Jamile.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">Florian\u00f3polis won second place in the Connected Smart Cities Ranking for its potential in innovation, mobility and technology. \u201cWe were able to see that all participants in the event brought actions that made us reflect on what is important for the city to grow and become a smart city.
