Kryptus, a Brazilian multinational specialized in cryptography and cybersecurity, won the bidding process for the project for the new Operational Defense Network (ROD) in Brazil.\u00a0\u00a0<\/u><\/u><\/u>\u00a0<\/u><\/p>\n

In addition to providing cryptographic security technologies, the company, which recently obtained renewal of the Strategic Defense Company (EED) certification - granted by the Ministry of Defense (MD) - will also be responsible for the readjustment of ICT assets and physical and logical expansion ROD, as well as for monitoring and operational technical support of the network.\u00a0<\/u><\/u><\/u>\u00a0<\/u><\/p>\n

Backbone of the Military Command and Control System (SISMC2), ROD aims to provide voice, data and decision support services in an integrated, timely, simple, safe, flexible, reliable and continuous manner at the various decision levels of the Military Structure Defense.\u00a0<\/u><\/u>\u00a0\u00a0<\/u><\/u><\/p>\n

The new ROD is a restructuring and modernization of the current infrastructure, maintained under the Head of Joint Operations (CHOC) of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Armed Forces (EMCFA \/ MD).\u00a0<\/u><\/u><\/u>\u00a0<\/u><\/p>\n

\u201cWith the change in the paradigms of mobilization and combat for the 'Network-Centered War'\u00b9 and in the medium term for the' Mosaic War'\u00b2, it is important that the elements of Command and Control are increasingly sovereign and interoperable\u201d, points out Roberto Gallo, founder and general director of Kryptus. The acquisition process was the first carried out by the Ministry of Defense to use the TLE instrument - Special Bidding Term - provided for in Law 12,598 \/ 2012. Supported by a decision of the National Defense Council, the TLE establishes that the provision of solutions for the protection of classified information in any degree of confidentiality must be done exclusively by Strategic Defense Companies (EED) and with development in the country. Foreign technologies are prohibited in the process. Most of the supply is expected to be carried out in 2021.<\/u><\/u><\/u>\u00a0<\/u><\/p>\n
