Porto Digital, one of the main technological parks and innovation environments in Brazil, closed the year 2020 with revenues almost 22% higher than the previous year, despite all the challenges imposed by the pandemic caused by the covid-19. The data is part of the balance sheet released, this Thursday (4th), by the president of Porto Digital, Pierre Lucena, and points to the continuous growth of companies in 2021 and the opening of more jobs.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn the beginning of 2020, the Porto Digital group of companies already pointed to a significant growth in the business carried out in the park - but then the pandemic came and all companies had to reevaluate their plans. Even so, despite the pandemic, organizations were able to overcome the challenges and maintain the pace of the previous year \u201d, informed Pierre Lucena.<\/p>\n
In 2020, the turnover of companies shipped to Porto Digital reached R$ 2.86 billion - a value of 21.7% higher than that recorded in the previous year, of R$ 2.35 billion, and 50.8% more than in the year 2001. 2018. Among the fastest growing are Speedmais, Insole and Consenso, which debuted in the TOP 3 this year.<\/p>\n
Among those with the highest revenues in 2020 are Accenture, Acqio, Avanade, Avantia, CESAR, Insole, Neurotech, Rede Globo, Sertell and Tempest. Already on the list of companies with the largest number of employees are currently Accenture, Avanade, Avantia, CESAR, EAD Nassau, Emprel, Pitang, Serttel, Speedmais and Tempest. In all, the park ended the year 2020 with 13,378 professional employees - up 14.7% - and 349 companies.<\/p>\n
Porto Digital's goal is, by 2025, to have around 20 thousand employees distributed between 500 to 600 companies in the park, with annual sales of R$ 3.5 billion.
