\n\tEmbratel announced the launch of the Machine to Machine \/ Internet of Things (M2M\/IoT) solution for offering connected cars. The novelty allows the use of cutting-edge technology inside the vehicles, as well as the sending of control, monitoring and technical assistance data.

\n\t\u201cWe are taking the most modern in terms of technology into Brazilian cars\u201d, says the executive director of Embratel and Claro Empresas, Adriana Coutinho Viali.

\n\tWith the new offer, it is possible to activate speakers and microphones from the cars' hands-free system, lock doors remotely, connect applications for specific functions and program the car to respond to commands from several cell phones of members of the same family, for example.
\n\t 
\n\tThe driver can also ask an automaker's central to follow his route in cases such as dangerous routes or trips. If you notice that there has been an unexpected detour or stop, the technology makes it possible for the center to quickly contact you to provide help. In addition, you can message another person when your car is arriving at its destination.

\n\tFunctions such as sending a winch, mechanic and technical assistance can be programmed in the face of specific occurrences, as well as the activation of medical rescue, in case Air Bags are to be used.

\n\tGM is already using the technology in Brazilian cars in the 2016 Medium Cruze models and the new Cobalt. Volvo has already applied the solution to the XC60 model. The trend is for this technology to be tested and adopted in new cars.

\n\tIn addition to connected cars, Embratel's M2M\/IoT solution enables various applications such as, for example, bank automation in street ATMs, use of points of sale for purchases with a credit card machine, monitoring of water, gas and light with smart meters, property security, fleet management or taxi cooperatives.
