The welcome to the speakers and participants was given by Roberto F\u00fccher, president of ABES.<\/p>\n<p>\t<strong>Soft skills<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\tMoacir Ant\u00f4nio Marafon, founding partner of Softplan and vice president of Talents at ACATE, recalled that a major bottleneck in the ICT sector is the lack of professionals to fill the vacancies that the market offers, both in Santa Catarina and in other regions of the Brazil. \u201cThe pandemic has accelerated many trends in digital transformation. Transformations are much more exponential. And those professionals who adapt to the conditions of the moment will survive. We will need to identify which hard and soft skills will be best suited to this reality\u201d, he pointed out.<\/p>\n<p>\t<strong>continuous learning<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\tC\u00e1tia Senssulini, manager of Talent Acquisition at IBM Brazil, recalled that, being global, the company already has a culture of connectivity, flexibility and infrastructure, of close relationships with people with whom we do not share the same space. \u201cWe were able to put 98% of our employees to work remotely. We are going to talk a lot in the coming months about the importance of having professionals who have the capacity for continuous learning, resilience and emotional health, as we are in a world that changes very quickly\u201d, he explained.<\/p>\n<p>\t<strong>entrepreneurial spirit<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\t\u201cIt is clear to everyone that the future has been accelerated\u201d, emphasized Celso Niskier, vice president of Instituto \u00caxito de Empreendedorismo, CEO of ABMES and dean of Centro Universit\u00e1rio UniCarioca. In his opinion, it is essential to reflect on what makes us human, regarding creativity and soft skills. \u201cWe understand that we must develop the entrepreneurial spirit in young people, develop personal, technical and managerial skills. We have to be prepared for new waves of crisis to come. Human capital will be increasingly valued. Universities will need to adapt if they want to remain relevant\u201d, he pondered.<\/p>\n<p>\t<strong>More visibility for careers in the ICT sector<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\tCo-founder of Meu Futuro Digital, a movement with the purpose of transforming Brazil into the country of the future of Work and Education through Information Technology, Rubem Daniel Duek said that the pandemic is making networking possible and providing many lessons. \u201cWe are stronger when we work in a network and in a coordinated way. Brazil is doing in 5 months what was expected to be done in 5 years in terms of digital transformation\u201d, he warned. \u201cThe country is a land of contrasts, with thousands of idle spaces and millions of unemployed. We have 27% of unemployed between the ages of 18 and 24 and an expected deficit of 50% in technology sector vacancies. In terms of training, it still has a very low visibility of careers in the ICT sector. It&#039;s a challenging scenario\u201d, he analyzed.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\t<strong>living with chaos<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\tLauro de Lauro, Senior Cloud Guru at Sky.One Cloud Solutions and Director of ABES, recalled that today we live in an environment marked by uncertainty management. \u201cThe human being is not used to chaos. We need to learn to live with this chaos and companies need to be prepared for this scenario. We still need to have a strong engagement with the team and maintain proximity with people, even remotely. The leader&#039;s communication with his team needs to be very transparent.
