\tGT Covid-19, composed of experts from CLM, a Latin American value-added distributor, discloses yet another of the technologies available to help organizations quickly transform themselves and be able to act in a pandemic world. To counter the increase in automated bot attacks in web and mobile applications, as well as in application programming interfaces (APIs), the group selected Radware Bot Manager, a solution that identifies and separates the good bots from the bad.<\/p>\n

\tFast and easy deployment, competitive cost and constant improvement of Radware's cybersecurity technology were the reasons for choosing the BOT MANAGER by GT Covid-19. Add to that the news of Radware making the technology available in Brazil through SaaS, with affordable monthly payments.<\/p>\n

\tTo get an idea of the threat potential of BAD Bots, the annual report \u201cThe Big Bad Bot Problem 2020<\/strong>\u201d found that in 2019 they generated almost 24.5% of total internet traffic, up 20% over the previous year. (link to the survey https:\/\/go.clm.com.br\/BadBotResearch)<\/p>\n

\tIn the fourth quarter, as more people shop online, traffic from bad bots jumped to 29.3% of total internet traffic. The study was built on quantitative data about Radware's global customer traffic in nearly 200 countries and includes hundreds of millions of legitimate and malicious bot behaviors, fingerprints, and sources.<\/p>\n

\tWith the Pandemic and the exponential growth of online shopping platforms, an explosion in BAD Bots activity is to be expected. According to CLM's technical director, Pedro Diogenes, by intelligently detecting and blocking malicious bots, organizations from all sectors can greatly improve their cyber security and avoid major financial losses.<\/p>\n

\tRemember that the bots are smart apps<\/strong> that perform tasks, automatically on the internet. The \u201cgood\u201d bots are extremely useful and can have many functions for companies, such as indexing search engines, monitoring web applications, scanning for vulnerabilities, among others. However, the same concept is also used for harmful actions and bad bots can steal content, customer list, put virus and malware on the system. They are of various types spam, zombie, spy and scrapers and bot imposters.<\/p>\n

\tEligibility of technologies<\/strong><\/p>\n

\tTo be eligible, technologies must meet certain criteria established by the WG, such as immediate interest, innovative products, rapid deployment and excellent quality\/price ratio.
